"I don't know whether you're prepared to consider yourself the girlfriend of some guy in there. But that's what awaits you. An 18-year-old fresh face comes in and it's fair game. Think about that."
Think about the circumstance of the alleged rape in the Kobe Bryant case and what these young men face. Who has more opportunity to avoid rape, and which rape does the law care more about, and what rape could the government more easily take action to stop? It all says a lot about misandry in the criminal justice system.

I'm not saying that no-one has ever been raped in a British prison, but in Britain we just don't have the kind of institutionalised practice of prison gang-rape that you seem to have in North America. From over here it seems difficult to understand why it happens at all, and why your governments don't act to stop it. I have always suspected that being gang-raped on a daily basis is regarded by many over there as just 'all part of the prison sentence', no worse than the prisoner deserves.
It is particularly interesting to listen to the deafening silence from (American) feminists on the subject of male rape. They claim to be opposed to rape, but in fact they condone it as long as it is only happening to men. Exactly the kind of lies and hypocrisy I've come to expect from our enlightened sisters.
I seem to recall having read somewhere that in the USA there are more male-on-male rapes than male-on-female rapes, precisely because of the prison system. Does anyone have any data on that, or more info on prison rape generally?
Back on the subject of sexual violence against men in the movies, I'd like to see a movie database listing movies in which male/prison rape is presented as a joke. One good example is 'There's something about Mary', and what about 'Pulp Fiction' (although not actually in a prison)? Any more examples?

Psst, this was in Canada.
Half Baked, Family Guy tv show, Money Talks, Stir Crazy...
Shawshank Redemption and American History X use it in a dramatic manner.

For ANGRYMAN,
The 2003 Prison Rape Elimination Act (nothing more than a band aid) was passed to stop the rampant rape of men in prison.
The numbers go something like this:
2.7 million (from memory) men in prison. 1 in 10 men raped (at least). These men are not raped once, but repeatedly. So you have 270,000 men being raped repeatedly each year.
So, it's true there are more INSTANCES of male rape, even though the number of men raped may (or may not be) lower than the number of women raped.
Hope that helped.
