Anti-Marriage website
posted by Hombre on 07:33 PM July 11th, 2004
Divorce EvilPundit writes "I've just found NoMarriage.com, a site that provides comprehensive arguments against marriage for men. The author sells a $9.95 manual to help men evaluate whether they really ought to get married, but the site is much more than a marketing exercise. I think it's worth publicising this page because it says a lot about what men are missing in our society."

I have been aware of this site for quite some time and have exchanged a few e-mails with the gentlemen who owns same. Interesting site, I have to agree with most of the philosopy he preaches. There is one statement he makes to the effect that women are worried that there are not enough men now willing to marry. In my humble opinion that is not my observation as I have never encountered any female that could not find at least one man willing to marry her. In fact I have seen many women during my life whom have married 3 and 4 times and never had difficulty finding some man to marry her. Problem teenagers, financial problems and a host of other baggage they still seem to have plenty of men willing to marry them.
Perhaps some day some one much more intelligent than myself will explain to me why the hell these men want these women. They have more problems than one can imagine, they are not pretty or even attractive, then why? A good example comes to mind which should clearly illustrate my point. I have a friend in another state who is on his third marrage. The second marriage was to a women who's only goal in life was to earn a PHD degree. She had four kids, all with problems and she refused to work under any circumstances, she was a full time student period. She was also an expert on government programs for women, she collected welfare, all medical expenses paid by medicaid and many others I cannot even think of. My friend marred her despite many warnings (including myself). My friends life consisted of working his ass off on his job, doing all the cooking and cleaning, going down to the police station in the middle of the night to retrieve one of her kids who was arrested along with doing the shopping. She studied, went to class and made sure she got plenty of sleep. They finially divorced and within a few months she had some other stupid ass to marry her.
On another note most women I see after reaching age 30 gain a lot of weight and to make their lives easier, wear one of those short hair cuts. Why in the shit would any rational man want to live with something like that day in and day out and have to look at it too! In fact there are so many here in this town in Nebraska where I live many times I have thought of selling my place and moving. If you want to see some pretty girls who are still fairly thin (and note the word fairly) one needs to drive by the high school and lunch time. I go to the bank, fat women, I go to the super market, more god damm fat women. People say including my mother before her death looks are not everything, maybe they have nice personalities. Bullshit, I have had my share of pretty young girl friends who were nice at the same time except for their moodiness and gave me pretty much anything I wanted. But that was in a different place and I have always been lucky enough to attract much younger women on account of the fact that I have been working out for the past 20 years.
Take the time to visit www.nomarriage.com, it makes a lot of sense at least to me.

      regards to all;

I too have known of this site for a while now.
In fact I think some one HERE posted a link to it.
Although the site master is, in my oppinion overly harsh on women at times, he is dead on most of the time. I too recomend his website. ESPECIALY to you younger guys who haven't much life expirience with the "fair" sex.
For us old dudes that website pretty much preaches to the choir!

although some of you will find nomarriage.com entertaining, this person knows nothing about raising children first hand (he admits that he's never been a parent, and you can't KNOW what's involved via proxy) yet spews what is essentially garbage about the process.

Maybe he's a closet feminist, and would have appreciated his mother aborting him. After reading his adolescent diatribe on the subject of parenting, I'm not so sure that would have been a bad thing.

Please be advised that almost all of the material on that site is not the work of the site owner.

In the site FAQ, the owner admits this:

"Is the website written by you?
Most of it is not. It's a collective thinking of many different men (I found most of it on various discussion forums). The book is written by me."

Most of it (if not all of it) is lifted straight off one particular message board. Posts written by various men were lifted out of context from the discussions they were part of and merely placed in the various categories the site owner set up. Some were edited, re-arranged and/or added to. This was all done without the writers' knowledge or permission. They were not asked if their work could be used on a commercial site, nor were they given the opportunity to re-write their work to fit that context or fact-check their claims and/or provide evidence for them.

There may be things written there that ring true to many men, but be aware that you are in fact reading message board posts taken out of context and not intended for that site. They were not written for that purpose, or for the NoMarriage site owner to use.

I have no idea what the book advertised on that site is like, but given that almost all of the writing on that site was taken from others' work and then cobbled together as a web site, I hold out no great hopes for it.

Not only that, but 95% of the stuff there is simply a regurgitation of stuff that Tom Leykis (blowmeuptom.com) says on the radio.

My mind wanders back, to another time, long before the dark cloud of feminism did doth poison the fair sex. In those times did women dress nice, in miniskirts that showed their lovely thin builds. They used to wear their hair long, not in a pony tails, and wore makeup to accenuate their beauty. No, as the gentleman in Nebraska notes, what do I see. I see pigwomen waddling, arms full of fastfood along the well worn migratory trail from McDonalds, their thin boyfriends trailing humbly behind them.I see ponygirls, menhaters, driving around in oversized SUV's, and I see girls, raised as narcissistic egoists bullying their ways along. Tis in thess moments that I doth ponder that earlier time, and does my heart ache to live in another age. This is Australia in the 21st century!

yes indeed,I remember the women back then well. As you state so well they were beautiful back then. I do not recall any fat women in my large high school class. What I do recall is the short skirts, beautiful hair styles and never blue genes but always dresses. They were such ladies and I would kill to have them back again.
How many of these women today can stand to look at themselves in the mirror is beyond me. However there is one lady who lives behind me and looks very nice in a dress. Problem is she is married and over 80.

Alas my friend you also describe much of the US, Britain, and probably France and Germany as well.

The Western world is doomed, anthropologically speaking. In a hundred years the languages of the people will include hybridized Spanish, hybridized Arabic, and "expatriate Chinese". English and its descendents will have gone the way of the peoples of western Europe- marginal, disempowered, futureless. This is because the females thereof decided they would no longer participate in this thing known as "cooperative reproduction." Instead some of them like to have kids, take them from their dads and stick them with the bill, and get fat. The rest just go to work, hook up now and then with some guy (or gal) they meet at a bar, and otherwise don't do much else. Oh yeah, they go on vacations and like to shop, too. (But apparently this is a phenomenon not limited to the "western world"-- check it out: http://law.ris.ac.jp/ilc00/contents/981l00174/ To be fair though, some have criticized the concept-coiner's analysis as follows: http://www.japantimes.co.jp/cgi-bin/getarticle.pl5 ?fl20000407a1.htm )

In this misandrous culture men are pressured to marry at least once. As we all know marriage has become $$$Jackpot Justice$$$ for wifie poo.

So, to placate all the social critics when they ask you if you are married just say no but I paid my dues. I took out a $250K and bought a house and furnished it and then selected a dumpy, overweight, flip flop and toridor pants wearing, late 30'ish manhater in a grocery store checkout lane and gave it to her in fee simple. Viola! Just like being married! And the best part about this is that you are only out of a measley $250K from your lifetime earnings. YOU GET TO KEEP THE REST!!! :)
