Why Women Expose...

Inequality frank h writes "I don't usually spend a lot of time at Joe Farah's WND, as I have a rather low regard for him and his positions on gender equality. However, I did come across this second part of an article by Dennis Prager. It is actually a 2 part piece (which can be found here) on why women are exposing themselves through provocative dress, and it comes more or less in response to Nipplegate (Janet Jackson and her "exposition" during this year's Superbowl halftime show). I like his analysis, and if you read part 2, you'll note his position on sexual harassment laws and how they are so one-sided."

Good piece of commentary exposing the hypocrisy behind feminism's imposition of "sexual harassment" codes in the workplace.

The author, Dennis Prager writes -

"One reason women dressed more modestly in the past was fear of men's verbal reactions. No more. There are vast checks on his sexuality, none on hers.

We should either drop all sexual harassment laws (except those prohibiting threats – "Sleep with me or you're fired") or apply them equally to women.

If men create a sexually charged work environment when they talk sex, women do the same when they show sex. "Hostile work environment" – a trial-lawyer enrichment program created by feminist anger at men – should be either dropped as a legal concept or applied equally to women's dress."

Of course, once you acknowledge the obvious --that women have sexual POWER and many other forms of power and PRIVILEGE available to them, the whole feminist facade of "oppression and victimology" crumbles.

I found the author's thesis that social and gender equality have driven women to increasingly employ sexual display as a desperate means of expressing their distinctive feminine power very convincing.

Anyone watching "The Apprentice?" It's a textbook of the diabolical advantages of female-only power gleefully wielded by the so-called "victim" gender!

Consider (1) a non-pornographic poster showing a provocatively-dressed female and (2) a provocatively dressed female worker. It is likely that (1) would be considered problematic in terms of harassment rules.

Also, staring might not be a good thing, but what happens when someone is dressed provocatively and they basically shove it in your face? Does this mean having to avert your eyes no matter what? This newsgroup posting talks about a situation with provocatively dressed females. In one instance, a policy prohibited looking down dresses or up skirts. Afterwards, some females actually exposed their upper chest areas to someone (it sounds deliberate) and the targeted individual had to get the policy changed.

Another individual did a critique of an actual harassment policy. They talk about how it prohibits such behaviors as "ogling" and "leering". They also mention that in the past, African-American individuals could suffer severely for failing to avert their eyes from a white person (especially white females.)

"inherent viciousness" Ounce for ounce, there has never been any more cunning, vicious, or ferocious creatures to walk the face of this earth than the female of any species.

I see it as a survival thing, and it certainly levels the playing field for the female gender as far as any deficiencies in physical strength go. So much for domestic violence power and control theories.

I have had it pointed out to me that my fly was down by a woman who was wearing a thong bikini at the time. I now use that as one of the things I say when I am sounding out any new female aquaintence as being trustworthy in terms of her sexual politics. If she gives me a puzzled "Yeah so what? " sort of response I know she is not woth cultivating. If she smiles or giggles at the absurdity of it I know she's OK.
