I wish the article had ended the way it had started, but the Women's Aid spokeswoman got one thing right: "The majority of research is quite clear"

I didn't notice if anything was mentioned about the funding that shelter receives, but if it's publicly funded, just watch a group of British feminists try to force the shelter to accept women.
I'm not sure what British law is regarding discrimination and publicly funded groups/organizations, but if they have laws against it on the books, I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see some feminists claim that the shelter discriminates against women, and try to either take over it, or have it shut down. (Of course, they would naturally argue that their own shelters should be exempt from such non-discrimination laws.)

Glad to hear the news. That was a terribly long drive to Lancaster CA, just to find a battered men's shelter.
I have no doubt it will take a long time for the needed paradigm shift to be fully accepted by society, but some changes are happening, and as more men are emboldened to speak, by the courage they see in other men, things will change for the better. We may be "nations divided by a common language" as that old international joke goes, but in this cause we are all men united by a common bond, "the need to be accepted and treated with the dignity that all humans deserve." I salute you men of the U.K.
Sincerely, Ray
