Motorola Donates Phones to "Save Women's Lives"

Domestic Violence In a new woman-oriented PR move for Motorola Corp., the company is rounding up old mobile phones, which it then plans to donate to shelters for female victims of domestic violence. The company claims it wants to provide safety for women by providing them with an easy way to call for help. There are no plans for a similar campaign for male victims of domestic violence. I suppose this is better than donating pepper spray.

If any of us are shareholders, I would suggest you contact Motorola shareholder relations and ask why this is restricted to abused women only and not available to abused men. Their reply will likely be that they will be happy to give one to an abused man, should he call. Then ask them why they don't say that in their propaganda.

Complain loudly. As a part-owner, you have a right to.

This arms the woman who falsely claims Domestic Violence with an addtional tool in which they can use to taunt the man that they have accused. I'd rather see them receive boxing training head gear.
