"Ladies" Attack Stripper At Bachelorette Party

CPM writes "Ladies Attack Stripper At Bachelorette Party

Hmm, let's see... A bachelorette, her mother, and a bridesmaid expect a little something from a stripper, they don't get it, so they punch, kick, and hit him over the head with a bottle. Mom gets 30 days court supervision (read "no punishment at all") and $2500 restitution. Daughter and bridesmaid get all charges dropped. Not a bad deal for the ladies! You guys know the routine right? Flip it around. A bachelor, his father, and a groomsman expect a little something from a stripper and she does not deliver. So the three guys decide to beat her up instead. By show of hands, how many of you believe that any of these guys will not be charged with rape (among other miscellaneous charges)? No wait, keep your hands up, I'm not finished counting. Also, would any of the three men have all charges against them dropped? And just in case you didn't notice, this little story just happens to be in the "Strange News" section so as to make it seem funny. My god, I think my comments here are longer than the article."

Memo Feminists: Fathers Have a Role in Families Too

I'm seeing more and more articles like this slipping past the lace curtain lately. This one makes the simple point that fathers are integral to a family, and that "men are not money-making machines". http://www.theage.com.au/articles/2003/08/26/1061663791169.html

Woman Arrested on Sex Charges

Luek writes "
Here is yet another story about a woman having sex with underage males and being charged with sexual misconduct NOT statutory rape mind you.

Would a man in this situation be charged only with "lewd and lascivious battery?"

I don't think so. He would be charged with rape!"

The Degradation of LA's 'Deadbeat Dad Court'

The government's all-encompassing war on so-called "deadbeat dads" is often simply a war on low-income and minority fathers. Nowhere is this made clearer than by the degradation, demonization and dehumanization of hard luck fathers in downtown Los Angeles' notorious "Deadbeat Dad Court."

Los Angeles family law attorneys Jeffrey Jacobsen and Bill Hauck discussed this ongoing and unrecognized human tragedy on His Side with Glenn Sacks on KRLA 870 AM in Los Angeles on Sunday, August 24. To listen to the archived version of the show, go to His Side .

From the mouth of a woman...

The Gonzo Kid writes "Well, I will be go to ... You almost have to wonder if this is really a woman. Of course, read the "comments" section at the bottom of this, and a few show their true colors... http://64.33.12.99/childsupport.php If this is a woman, I want to bear her children."

Need a Publisher for your Men's Issues Book?

This is a reletively inexpensive way to get your book going. Granted it won't get the big push from the networks, but you know you can do it. Trafford Publishing offers an alternative. Also Cyberman Books is another resource to get your book started. These are places that should be utilized by anyone interested in the Men's Movement. The important thing is that people read what you have to say. One issue that affects men's issues is that men do not read or buy books as much. This is a challenge for the men's movement, and one that can be overcome.

Teenage kids charged with statutory rape of each other

This is the kind of thing you'd expect to come from The Onion, except in this case its real. From the article...

"Sex between kids is not legal," said Assistant District Attorney Lori Kornblum, who is prosecuting the case.

According to the law, "Whoever has sexual contact or sexual intercourse with a person who has not attained the age of 16 is guilty of a Class C felony." There is no mention of consent.

Read about it at http://www.jsonline.com/news/metro/aug03/163688.asp.

Brainwashed Novelists

Neil Steyskal writes "I read a lot of scienc fiction, mysteries and adventure novels; and I'm amazed at the number of male writers who have fallen for the feminist line. These books are full of macho women and men who victimize women. They never show the men who have been driven to desperation or suicide by vicious women. So I've started making comments about these books at amazon.com. The page for each book at their site allows you to post a rating and comments about the book. Let's take advantage of it to spread the word!"

Smear Campaign agianst Fathers??

Hoax Bombs have been sent to various places in the UK , such as court houses, family offices etc.. The target for blame is at the Fathers' Rights Movement. Well, it is quite well known among the followers of Erin Pizzey of how she was constantly threatened with bomb threats while on her book tour. In fact Erin needed armed guards to escort across the UK. We know that Radical Feminists can be very militant, this web site has links to many of their violent protests especially with Senator Anne Cools. Make no mistake these bomb hoaxes real or not will only increase a police state in an already increasingly totalitarian society. This is huge in my opinion and will create laws to further oppress the movement. Wether it's a smear campaign against men, or; a men's group or individual becoming desperate enough to do the hoax, this will change things. Warble has described false accusations by feminist organizations as a standard procedure. I think we should consider the various alternatives and deal with them.

Weekly Activist Challenge!

Here at MANN, activism is literally our middle name. As such, we have challenged ourselves and our readers to make the most of Farrell's candidacy for governor to spread the word about men's issues. Over at the grassroots center, we're putting up a new challenge every day, and a new weekly challenge every week, that will help to spread the word about men's issues and lead to greater consideration towards them from politicians in the future. Will you take the challenge?

08-21 to 08-30: This week's Weekly Activist Challenge is to write up an article that discusses Farrell's campaign and submit it to at least 4 media outlets for publishing, ideally located in California. Note that this week's challenge has been extended to run until next Sunday.

Archived challenges can be found here.
If you'd like to contribute some daily, weekly, or campaign long challenge ideas, please let us know.

Know of someone who's gone above and beyond the call of duty for Farrell's campaign? Let us know about that too!

Who's Lying About Early Feminism?

Philalethes writes "Art Lemasters over at MND has a very interesting article on the suppressed early history of what we now know as the feminist movement: 'Susan B. Anthony: Racist Manipulator.' This censored history (written, as always, by the victors) needs to be returned to the public eye: 'When mentioning feminism, people often write about those good, moderate feminists--feminist leaders of the 1800s. Let's go Web surfing. You might be really surprised at what we'll find.'"

Why Won't Men Watch Women's Sports

The Gonzo Kid writes "Graham Hays asks in this article, Why don't men watch women's sports?" Okay, Graham, let's try this slowly: They play like girls. They're not good. They are playing a game designed by man, to test the limits of the male physique, and the best professional women's team would be hard pressed to win a series against a small college men's team. It's like a picture of a pregnant man - it's just wrong. Let them play in the NFL or the NBA, (And not on an affirmative action free pass) and I'll be impressed - until then, we have seperate women's leagues, well, because we need them. Because they can't run with the men. Sorry, but them's the facts."
