'The arrest of two women teachers on charges of having sex with their male students has brought cries of lingering racism in one of South Carolina's most conservative counties and evoked some of the South's oldest and deepest-seated racial taboos.

Both women are white. The boys - six in all - are black.

Some blacks shudder to think what would have happened if the teachers were black men and the students were white girls.

At the risk of sounding like one of those MSM people who spend more time pointing up the flaws of other media outfits rather than reporting news, I just have to post this. Now given that the two combatants were female, what happens? No one is fired. Now of course had this been a male-female case, or a male-male case, one or both people (most likely all males) would have been sacked that day. But when the violaters are both women? The system freezes up and shuts down, incapabale of handling the paradoxes. Net result: an assault is not redressed, and the double-standard goes on merrily unchecked. Excerpt:

Story here. ERA is a controversal topic even among MRAs. Supposedly the wording insists on gender-neutrality for all laws and legal standards, which in many ways would be progress for men-- however, as we know, when it comes to equality under the law, women are viewed as "more equal" than men, if not out and out just not subject to the same standards at all. My own take is that there is no way a law, even a constitutional amendment, guaranteeing gender-blindness in the law will actually work in any way for men, as long as our society and legal system remains permeated by misandry. An Editor's Note confirms that pretty much everything a woman said about her tour of duty was a fabrication:

One of the servicewomen, Amorita Randall, a former naval construction worker, told The Times that she was in combat in Iraq in 2004 and that in one incident an explosive device blew up a Humvee she was riding in, killing the driver and leaving her with a brain injury. She also said she was raped twice while she was in the Navy.

... Based on the information that came to light after the article was printed, it is now clear that Ms. Randall did not serve in Iraq, but may have become convinced she did."

Notice the editor's presumption that the woman did not blatantly lie, no that's not possible. She must just have been confused about the truth. Poor thing!
