Woman drugs, molests stepson, gets 20 years
posted by Matt on 01:25 PM May 4th, 2006
News dschmidt writes "WFAA is reporting that a Tyler, TX woman who molested her then 14 year old stepson while supplying him with drugs and alcohol has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.

Note the article refers to "an affair" and "a relationship" rather than repeated molestation/statutory rape/rape due to the victim being under the influence."

Well, at least she got sentenced to 20 years which means at most 10 with good behavior.

However, the link above is about a man who was sentenced to LIFE who did not have sex with a minor but simply touched her vaginal area. This man is very ill and what he did is not acceptable but sentenced to life when a woman who actually had intercourse with a minor over a period of time gets a much reduced sentence then it is obvious that there is gender bias in the court system. Big surprise huh?

Of course. It's the old "not guilty by reason of being female". But, yeah at least THIS women did get jail time. Frequently they either get very little jail time (especially when compared to a man convicted of the same crime) or no jail time at all.
The system is SICK. plain and simple
