	I don't know if his actions were related to what went on between him and Indiana University, but what happened is mentioned in this news item. Rest in peace, Mr. Izard.

Suicide? (Score:2) by Dittohd on 05:49 PM March 3rd, 2006 EST (#1) Are we sure this was really a suicide? Would the determination be the same if the wife had died of a gunshot wound? Sounds like the wife was a whole lot younger than he. There is no mention of a suicide note. Think maybe his wife got tired of him and decided to get rid of him for the money and a new, younger boyfriend? Dittohd

(Score:1) by Davidadelong on 06:15 PM March 3rd, 2006 EST (#2) Maybe the wife shot him, or maybe because he bucked the system he as others were broken and he couldn't take the pressure anymore. It is a tough world for those that choose to take a stand alone. Many others have chosen to pick their own way to die instead of dying slow. Personally I think that kicking and screaming until one draws their last breath of air would be the way to go, unless one were to have a debilitating disease of some kind. Just pure speculation, because there isn't enough real information to make a definitive conjecture.
