Nationwide Comic Strip Promotes Warren Farrell Book
posted by Thomas on 07:55 PM October 24th, 2005
The Media dschmidt writes "A bit late on this, I know, but just wanted to point out the 10/16/2005 comic strip "Mallard Fillmore" mentions Warren Farrell's recent book and even seems sympathetic to what it has to say! If your paper carries this strip, I'd suggest writing them in support of keeping it. (Hint: Read it as sarcasm/humor)

We all know how few in the media are so openly supportive of men's issues."

Mallard Fillmore has been consistent in support of such issues. Hilarious stuff! Support this comic strip!

I have always thought that a very good political oriented comic strip could be made about the mens movement and the trials and tribulations modern men face in our misandrous Western culture.

Some bright upcoming wannabe comic strip artist should consider this idea.

Excellent, humorous and it pokes fun at the dogma of political correctness.

The gender feminists in their sour puss way of bringing everbody and everything down to their sick level, will probably try to destroy Mallard by getting newspapers boycotted that run this comic.

Did you hear the one about the gender feminist with a sense of humor??? Of course not, a gender feminist has no sense of humor. She's like a vicious pit bulls with rabbies.

This cartoon had nothing to say about voting rights oppression, but for all those gender feminist dullards and women's studies graduates who want to beat that drum, know this, "Of all men and women born in the 20th Century - men's voting rights were by far the ones most egregiously oppressed."

The Eternal Silence of a Unique Group of Rarely Mentioned Men (Remembering America’s War Dead - Who Never had the Right to Vote)
That's certainly the most recent history of voting rights oppression - by gender - in America.

Whoever is writing these blurbs about the 19th amendment is probably a feminist, not a men’s rights activist.

They are employing a fairly simple strategy, “guerrilla tactics”. Basically, this individual is attempting to imply that repealing the right to vote is actually a goal of the men’s rights movement. This is totally bogus. By implying these goals, the individual is transparently attempting to marginalize the movement.

How? By making the men’s movement seem very extreme, nobody will take it seriously and many will ignore its legitimate goals: fairness in the family courts, end to preferential treatment of women in the work force (“affirmative action”; that is, discrimination against middle class men in the work force), end of insulting and derogatory images of men in the media and entertainment industry, end to anti-boy policies in the schools, the defeat of feminism, etc.

I’ve NEVER heard anybody seriously advocate eliminating women’s right to vote. Don’t fall for it folks!!!

Why didn't I think of this?! Boy, whoever you are you are SMART! You must be a man, or a woman dressed like one. This would make a great Guinness commercial. (Put on your best Scottish accent, boys)

Man #1: What's that?
Man #2: It's a bill to repeal the 19th amendment!
Man #1: BRILLIANT!

Oh, sorry, that should say aMmendment. Webster just didn't know how to spell.
