That this will help those accused avoid being wrongly accused in the future, saying the GPS will prove where they are..yadda yadda.
Of course, these folks don't realize she can still show up where you are, call you, send a card, and any number of other ways to violate the no-contact order. Aside from which, how many people are actually going to be able to afford proper representation (which you will absolutely need) in these situations to defend yourself even if she makes a purely fanciful allegation that the GPS data (if it's even remotely timely) could show is impossible? It's not like she will be prosecuted for her false allegation, and even if she was, it wouldn't lift the order against you.
Just one more bit of insult!

Article states,"The bill would make Massachusetts the first state to use Global Positioning System monitoring to combat domestic violence, Healey's office said.
Under the proposal, courts would be allowed to force abusers who violate their restraining orders to wear a monitoring device as a condition of their probation. The system would alert the victim and police if the offender enters certain restricted areas, such as a home, workplace or child's school."
Think about this now. Wife feels like she wants a divorce because she doesn't feel good. Pick any reason why she feels bad. Menopause for example. She consults an attorney, the dv shelters, and friends.
They advise her to claim fear of the male, dv, child abuse, or whatever the going false allegation is and get an ex-parte restraining order (FOR FREE). The woman goes home and the duped male arrives a few hours later.
Wife calls the police after which he is arrested and hauled away to be fitted with a GPS device.
Has the guy ever beat the wife? no. It there proof of abuse? no. Has there ever been an arrest before? no.
Yet the man is now tagged as a common criminal because the wife's hormones went out-of-whack, she found a good lay with the boy next door, she wants his money, or whatever. Hell. It doesn't even have to be a wife. It could be a domestic partner.
Sounds like we need a few million of these devices to accompany every ex-parte order.
