Has anyone told this guy about kilts? They *are* men's clothing. Native Montrealites seem entirely unused to them.
A great Canadian kiltmaker is bearkilts.com (in Vancouver). There are certainly others. My favorite U S kiltmaker is utilikilts.com. Both produce washable kilts, way below traditional prices, and utilikilts have pockets. Even without pockets, a sporran is easily swappable between kilts. Bear does various tartans, utilikilts doesn't -- unless you count caumoflage. You don't need to be a Scot. Just a guy who wants to be comfortable... and, inevitably, attract attention. Especially from women.
Fortunately my wife is not threatened by any of this.

So.
If any women come to the office wearing slacks and a tie are THEY told to "stop it"?

It's all a part of the glass cellar. Guys work longer hours to get the larger paychecks they get, but this appears to be just plain discrimination unless there are other equalizing factors (other monetary compensation for the 5 years worked.
If not a good sign would be

SEXIST & HATEFUL
AGAINST MEN
