What a perfect example of doublethink. If women dominate a field, explain it away as "historical perspectives." Obviously we need to selectively diversify the student population. That noise? Just me puking.

"If women dominate a field, explain it away as "historical perspectives." " Reminds me of another example of "femspeak" which the feminists use when defending the appalling conduct of judges in family courts. The judges are, according to the feminists, "just reflecting social reality".

As a 'minority' person, myself, I USED to think affirmitive action was a GOOD thing.
I remember thinking to myself; "If it helps level the feild for Indians, other minorities and women, then it MUST be a good thing.
I did not realize that at some point it was going to be used for what it is being used for, now. And that is to; "Get even with Whites." and to; "Get even with men."
Even though I once supported affirmitive action I NEVER wanted to "get even" with ANYONE. I just wanted equal rights. Not to TAKE AWAY rights from others, to make me feel BETTER about myself.
And that really IS what "affirmitive action" is all about, these days. "Getting even".
The constitution is very clear on this; NO ONE'S rights are to be abridged!! I repeat, NO ONE'S!!
I have to go with conservitives on this when they say that "affirmitive action" is SOCIALISM!
Thundercloud.
"Hoka hey!"
