Woman kills pregnant woman

The Media Matt writes "I am quite surprised they didn't suppress this story. I am sure she will use some kind of "defense" now well-known to many and all. But that the victim was another woman may just lead the sheeple dealing with this one to actually put her away. Well, we can hope."

Notice the story spent more time talking about how much Effie really wanted a baby of her own than on the details of the murder. Oh well, at least they didn't blame her husband yet.

She cut the fetus out of the dead woman's abdomen? And it didn't make national news? Who cares what her motives were, that is beyond horrible. I cannot believe the article has the gall to be sympathetic. No mention of the pregnant woman at all, no details, just all about the murderer and her wanting a child.
Good grief.

Compare this crime to the alleged Scott Peterson crime, and then ask yourself, "Why all the media coverage on one and little to none on the other?"
Coverage has been so over done on the Scott Peterson trial, that they run the same news over and over and over again, yet not a peep that I've heard about this crime that much stronger evidence says was committed. Man-haters in the media are everywhere.

You know, in away, I find this to be amusing. Not the story itself, mind you, but the methods that CNN offers to give feedback to their stories: none. Make that: NONE. Oh, you have the usual email addresses that go to Paula Zahn or Wolf Blitzer, and I'm sure that read every one (NOT!). But there really is little in the way of avenues for telling CNN precisely what you think of their stories, good or bad. I suppose you can send a snail mail to their Atlanta headquarters, but to whom would you send it?

The truth is, and Bernie Goldberg is correct in his assessment stated in "Arrogance..." They want none of your feedback because they have their agenda and the sentiments of their viewers are irrelevant.

I've just added this to the Men's Hour Blog. It's more or less the same article and there's a video.

Woman kills pregnant woman then cuts out and claims foetus as her own? A first even for women's violence.

An Oklahoma woman, Effie Goodson, 37, is accused of killing Carolyn Simpson, 21, with a .22-calibre firearm shot to the head and cutting out her foetus. Authorities say Goodson showed up at a hospital with the dead foetus, claiming it was her own. She had been claiming she was pregnant for some months. Carolyn Simpson and Effie Goodson were friendly and had left work together on Mon. 22nd, Dec. Carolyn wasn't seen again. Her body was found on Friday 27th Dec.

There a debate on MensActivism at Woman kills pregnant woman and some discussion already about whether she will claim some kind of mental deficiency or syndrome at the time of the murder. She is currently pleading not guilty to it.

Of course she'll claim a syndrome...the women are immune from the law syndrome.
