Matt:
You are getting out a very powerful and important message. I always enjoy the public interaction too.
Thank You,

A big bravo to NCFM, District of Columbia Chapter for (once again) making its presence known in the community. As Matt aptly stated, "getting the word out is the name of the game." Absolutely!
Not to be outdone, though, NCFM, Twin Cities Chapter has likewise been on the outreach trail recently. The National Organization against Male
Sexual Victimization http://www.malesurvivor.org/ held its "Tenth International MaleSurvivor Conference" here in Minneapolis just this past weekend. (For details, log on to http://www.malesurvivor.org/Conferences/2003/index .htm and click on "Conference Program.") NCFM-TC was on hand with a table displaying a large assortment of NCFM literature and other handouts and materials pertaining to men's rights and men's issues in general.
This event drew male victims of sexual abuse as well as helping professionals from all over the world. As you might then guess, the audience was largely receptive to the purpose and philosophy
of NCFM. Just about everyone who stopped by our display table took some literature and expressed thanks for our being there. There's little doubt that they walked away with an appreciation of what NCFM stands for.
So to again quote Matt, the point deserving of emphasis is, "public outreach is well worth the effort!!"

Not sure about the use of 'Kobe' on the pamplet though.

Hi Dan - Glad you like it.
Yeah, the Kobe thing could go either way. I was hoping that it might personalize it a bit for people and help them think about the possible damage from a false accusation.

Believe it or not but doing things like this are a lot of fun. And doing it for a worthy cause like promoting men's rights makes it even more satisfying.
Is this going to be an ongoing annual thing?

We are planning to attend fairs and city days like this as frequently as possible. I'm sure we will be back next year for Gaithersburg's Old Towne Day but we will also be keeping an eye peeled for other more high visibility sorts of events. This one proved to us that this is effective.
You are correct. IT WAS FUN! It felt great to be talking these issues up with lots of folks. We are making ripples. Waves are next.
