It doesn't matter if it's a spoof. If it's offensive, it's offensive and the offense needs to be addressed. I say this again for the eighteen-thousandth time: the way to deal with this is through the sponsors. Once the sponsors have been identified, send a letter to them explaining that if they continue to sponsor this trash, you will not be buying theior products personally and you will see to it that their products do not enter your home.
If someone would be gracious enough to keep track of them and post a list here, then I'm sure we'll find many volunteers to write.

I agree with you, but we need to see the show before we judge it. I plan to watch it tonight.

Okay, I went ahead and watched the stupid show. But, guess what? I didn't NEED to! Everything that I predicted would happen, DID. The women beat up the men, there was at least one kick to the testicals, and at least one man was tied up by the women "bondage style". so, am I some kind of mystic Indian seer, with psycic powers to rival Miss Cleo? (bad example.) Nope. I just know the media.

No need to get snippy and bent out of shape. All I said was that I wanted to watch the show before I made up my mind about it. I do not think that is too much to ask, especially in an activist movement where (like any movement) people tend to jump to conclusions without evidence.

No, No, No. "anonymous", I wasn't trying to be snippy. I AGREE with you, about watching the show first. My snippy-ness wasn't directed at You. It was directed at the SHOW, for being all to well what I expected AFTER seeing it. I'm sorry if you felt it was directed at you. I assure you it wasn't. Were on the same side.(^-^)

I watched a bit of this and found it totally distasteful. The violence flowed from female to male and was glorified. It reminded me of the commercial by progressive in that it was seen as comical. The men were all either evil or very ignorant/impotent. The women were tough, smart attractive, ingenious, etc. They outsmarted and apprehended the evil males effortlessly. This show is trash and relies on negative stereotypes to such a degree that I can't believe that anyone would find it interesting. I taped the last 45 minutes (oooops late) and will go through tomorrow morning and get the advertisers and post them here.

while i admit that going to the sponsors might solve this specific case of misandric tripe, it's bound to happen again some time down the road. perhaps if we could express our displeasure by creating our own series in which women are routinely beaten by men, tied up bondage style and otherwise outwitted at every opportunity.
yes, it has the potential to make a lot of people angry but that's the point. it's a direct mirror of what's going on towards men in today's media. with that point, we might be able to get both types cancelled.

I always think that by telling people whats going on may be the best thing to create change. We need to get out that focol lenz so that people can see whats happening in this area, people need to discuss this on a larger basis. This is what will force the Marketing sponsors to ratify. They are not going to bend to the will of the lowest bracket until they have to. If they believe that shit will sell, and it has sold very well for that last 8 years or so, nothing will happen. One thing I would like to point out is, women are turning on eachother. They have developed such a common lack of curtesy of 'women firsters' its turned into 'me firsters'. We should learn to exploit this. In their quest for 'anti-family' and 'anti-corroperation' against men, then those are the skills they have developed at best. Watch for this among daily society.

I agree. This kind of stuff is best countered with an in kind response. People understand the point you are trying to make immediately.
Now here’s an off the wall idea: a Men’s Saturday Night production.
Besides turning the table on shows and commercials we have been discussing, we could have a Mock the Court section, a Dick’s Monolog section, etc. If someone has a visionary idea of what the feminist controlled society of the year 2020 would look like we could turn it into a script for a the Amazorica 2020 piece.
It could be a cheep amateur production? I wonder how much it would cost for say five hours of tape. Maybe if could have some music mixed in and computer generated material too it could reduce the cost.

Here is a list of the advertisors for the program:
Gain
American Dairy Farms
Scott Tissue
Schlotskys Deli
Sprint
Honda
KFC
Windex
Ford
Barilla Tortellini
Verizon
Dominoes
Pantene
Applebees
Ortho Tri-Cyclen
Sears
Cingular
Ziploc
MacDonalds
Kleenex
Geeeesh! What an all American list. If some of those people starting getting mail claiming they were supporting hatred I can't imagine it wouldn't have an impact.
It will take a lot of work.

It looks as if the major networks are providing their own versions of "Dark Angel" "WitchBlade" and "Buffy" and in the process spreading highly sexist and misandric shows to a greater cross section of society. Even shows like Ally MacBeal were highly sexist... remember male genitalia was reffered to as a dumbstick in this show. Do you think a successful TV show would have permitted addressing women and their parts as dumb-holes...?
On one hand, the networks have a right to show whatever they want. I for one will not watch this show and I will badmouth the show whenever appropriate to do so.
And for the advertisers... I'll send them a note, it can't hurt.
It's funny how feminists who claim to be striving for equality are probably the root cause behind the PR that gets such shows on air and supports the advertising to keep it on.
This show is at least honest in it's mode of operation - a "spoof" on overt misandry . Most other shows still have women beating up men and generally out-smarting the "evil dumb male" in just about every situation.
TV definitely does not try to depict reality, but it does mirror cultural interests, and as such, it is disturbing how one sided the garbage has become.
Radical feminism is the dominant paradigm in the major media outlets.

I just wanted to mention that originally Lara Croft was going to be a guy. But because of legal issues they felt that their character looked to much like Indiana Jones. Their solution, turn it into a girl.
So I am saying that it is male inventors that did this.
The same with Xena, male producers. Now Im not sure what they thought about when they were writing the show from where it started to where it ended but it has been traditionally men beating up men for as long as television is concerned.
Batman, Green hornet and just about every saturday morning cartoon ever. Men did not hit women but the evil bitch hit men. Does anyone remember Wonder Woman and Bionic Woman and the Charlie's Angels. I think all the guys were victims and rarely were women bad or hurt.
AT least in Xena Calisto got the crap beaten out of her once in a while. I still think that these movies like Buffy, have contributed to the rise in violence among young women. Hell I don't think any of them have any manners anymore. Let alone morals.
