Here is a list of the members of the HELP committee. I would strongly urge any one who has a senator from their state on this committee to write them. [note: a hand written letter is 1000x more effective than one sent by email.]

Hillary Clinton is my rep on the committee. That might be the equivalent of talking to a wall. I don't get the impression she is interested in helping men in any way. Writing to the others may be helpful though.

Actualy, talking to HILLARY CLINTON about men's issues, is as productive as a JEWISH person talking to HITLER about jewish issues. THUNDERCLOUD.

Well, don't NOT write to her on that basis. She is quite challengable in 2006, and she CLEARLY does not have ANY constituency among men. Perhaps she might try a little bit.

I gave up on snail mail to the hill, because I heard it wasn't getting through after all the postal problems following 9/11. I heard they are irradiating it now. The reps don't seem to like snail mail much anymore from what I've heard. I know one political action group is using telegrams, and I've used that 3 or 4 times, but that's expensive at $15.00 a pop. Any insights on all that?

Well, she certainly deserves flaming in my opinion, TC. But she has to get re-elected, and she's gonna need votes to do that. I read recently that the Democratic National Committee wants to court men, as they recognize, at least privately, that they lost the White House on the men's vote. So we ought to make it easy for them to see what we want: gender equality.

Thanks for the link Tony. I hadn't realized that one of my senators Barbara Mikulski is on that committee. I will call and write a letter asap. I worry though that she is a lesbian and though she is a social worker she probably will not be in favor. We will see.
