It should be noted that were this fellow a Republican, he would be getting crucified by both the media and NOW already. I don't vote at all, so I don't have any Republican loyalties at work. But it goes a long way toward explaining in what way feminism is both entrenched in and sold out to the party system in America and elsewhere. tsk, tsk...

Here's a Washington Post article from 4-04 that goes into a bit more detail about the Dembrow incident. Here is an editorial and here is an older article. Notice the next to the last paragraph where they question his voting history.
It looks like the guy will get grilled on this one. It is interesting that no one seems to be asking anything about his claim that the wife hit him first. The editorial basically said who cares?

To some degree, this guy will get special treatment and not the usual slicing and dicing that most men get when entangled in such a case. And this means, sadly, that he really won't get a taste of how poorly the average male victim of DV is treated by "da guvvamint." On the other hand, it's actually good news that the feminists avoided flaying him, because on the outside chance that someone from the men's movement can actually get to him with some truth, he may actually become more sympathetic. If he had been flayed, he'd be cowering in the corner, intimidated by the electoral power of the women's vote. Here is one man who is a prime candidate for the men's movement to quietly get his attention.
And that's how we have to do this guys: one politician at a time.
