Men, Suicide, Divorce and Cuba (Score:1) by Gregory on 10:08 PM May 8th, 2006 EST (#1) "that if divorced men were removed from the equation, suicide rates for men and women would be the same." Hmm...Really? I read some years back that the male suicide rate outpaces the female rate in every age category except pre-adolescence. Teen males have a higher rate than teen females, and elderly males are especially at risk compared to elderly females. What's more, the male rate exceeds that of females in other categories -- homosexual males, unemployed males, for example.
