Maury Povich Sued for Sexual Harassment

	Another high-profile case, this... we'll see where it goes. Excerpt: Bianca Nardi, 28, of Fort Lee, N.J., says in court papers that the sexually charged atmosphere among the show's production staff was fostered by the "intimate and sexual relationship between defendants Maurice Richard Povich and Donna Benner Ingber." ... Povich is married to the veteran television news anchor Connie Chung. Gary Rosen, spokesman for the show, flatly denied the allegations, as did a spokeswoman for NBC Universal. "We are aware of the allegations of harassment made by Ms. Nardi. We have done a complete and thorough investigation of her allegations of harassment and we are satisfied that there is no merit to them," Rosen said. "We stand behind our experienced and dedicated staff, fully."

Isn't This the Guy.... (Score:2) by Tumescent on 09:28 PM April 25th, 2006 EST (#1) .. that does all those teenage paternity tests on his show? I've seen his show once or twice. It's a little like Jerry Springer in that it appeals to the lowest common denominator of the viewing public. Not sure what to think of this particular news item. It's probably another bogus sexual harrasement case in order to extort money, but what else is new?

Povich is having an affair with Ingber; and Nadi had to pick up Ingber's slack. How is this sexual assault? Either the article is describing the situation badly or someone is pulling a fast one. Allow me to paraphrase Nadi: I was sexually assaulted by the staff because Povich is having an affair with one of my collegues causing her to slack off, and I have to work harder. Even if she was sexually assaulted (being forced to bare her breats to other collegues) what does this have to do with him possibly having an affair (which may or may not actually be happening)?
