Desperate Feminist Wives: Liberation = Miserable?
posted by Matt on 08:44 PM March 7th, 2006
The Media Roy writes "Slate's culture editor Meghan O'Rourke reviews a new research study that links feminist beliefs with female unhappiness: "Feminist ideals, not domestic duties, seem to be what make wives morose. Progressive married women — who should be enjoying some or all of the fruits that Freidan lobbied for — are less happy, it would appear, than women who live as if Friedan never existed." DUH? Only a university educated neo-feminist journalism major would be flabbergasted by this "discovery!" Good read and excellent debate link here."

I find it truly amazing that people still find it funny that when people are brainwashed into believing something that somewhere down the road that they, what find they are unhappy! I wish for once that these psuedo intellectuals that have taken psych classes would work on themselves, instead of messing with the masses. But, then again I guess that it was what the controlling factions want, manipulative self deluded individuals that seem to think that they have the answer for everyone, why? Because they think that they are smarter than everyone else! But then again, if one were to study the lives of these same self said genius's, they are deluded, and for the most part only happy when they are in control of someone else, but they never achieve self control, hence the reason that they serve the system. They are nothing but pawns, and to be precise, they are less than the average working Person, because the average working Person can still when pressed act on their own. So now many women are dissatisfied and uncomfortable with he results of the Fredian Feminist Revolution? They are not happy with being liberated from those oppressive patriarchial domestic "concentration camps" in the suburbs as dear old dead as a donut Betty Fredian (may she rot in hell) was so fond of describing?

Gee, that is really too bad. Maybe society can pass a magic law that will put the paste back into the tube after squeezing it out over the past 30 plus years so as to make madame happy again? Then maybe not.

Good.
I'm glad feminist women are "sad" about their lot in life. They did it to themselves. They deserve what they get.
It is a common Cherokee belief that what you give out is what you'll get back. This confirms that belief, I'd say.

Sadly Sir Paul is now married to a psychotic one-legged harpie/dairy mogul who invented frozen yogurt, wouldn't take his last name when they wed, and she so dominated the chit-chat last night on the Larry King Show that McCartney couldn't get a word in... (she answers for him!)

I think Paul has finally found his Yoko. Only she's meaner by far than the Lennon-version.

And he's developed an odd facial "tick" that kicks in every time she speaks ... maybe signifying a man who's wishing it was Yesterday before he said "I Do..."

Now, Mick Jagger still seems to be the one to emulate when it comes to dealing with women.

Paul wrote "Michelle My Bell" while Mick was penning "Under My Thumb!" ;-)

The article seems to indicate a simple case of "Ignorance is bliss". Traditional women are happier because they are faced with fewer choices. Feminism has given greater choices to women but with that comes greater responsibility and doubt.

Perhaps this has simply documented the traditional burden of men that progressive women inevitably have to face when they embrace traditionaly male roles. Feminism wanted freedom from gender roles, and this is the price.

Two choices ladies: traditional roles; or decision making and responsibility. I don't care which a woman chooses, but for the sake of those around her, she must only pick one.

With feminism dominating everything, the females don't feel in control.

Someone needs to tell them, when a patriarchy purportedly ruled - the men were not in control, but subject to the little woman at home !
