More Men Cleared of False Rape Convictions
posted by Matt on 12:26 PM December 15th, 2005
News Fidelbogen writes "Verrrrrrry interesting case! Several men exonerated from bogus rape raps due to old DNA samples inserted in their files and rediscovered years later.

Is it my imagination, or are such stories on an accelerating growth curve? Well it's bound to reach critical mass, and THEN....... mass realization in the mass media and in the mass consciousness."

I once read an interview with a rape "victim" whose "attacker" was exonerated through DNA evidence. She had stated that she knew the whole time that the man convicted of her rape was not the man who attacked her. I believe her quote was "A man did this to me, and a man paid." She then went on to say that she did not feel bad about it at all. I believe the police and prosecutors in these cases probably feel the same way (concealed/withheld evidence, deals with "witnesses", poor court appointed council.....).

Everybody thank NOW.

Verily, I believe that I would sacrifice at least the little finger on my left hand to get ahold of that article. (Any chance of a "recovered memory", Trueman??) It is a transcendentally damning exhibit for the prosecution (of feminism) because it clearly demonstrates the essential "stuff" which feminism is made of. Feminism's PATRIARCHY hypothesis is a natural gateway idea which enables this style of thinking. (Also, connect the dots to those infamous statements by Marilyn French, Susan Brownmiller, Catherine Comyn (sp?), et al !)

As for the depressing review of rape culture, I'll venture onto a limb with my opinion that rape perjury is a worse crime than rape itself! The actual rape victim can get sympathy, eventually recover, and get on with life. But the falsely accused or convicted male knows exactly what the crucified Christ felt like when he cried "Lamma sabacthani!". Not only is he symbolically "raped" by the court system, but if he goes on to the Big House there's a good chance he'll enjoy the literal experience as well -- many times over, for years!

Rape perjurers caught at their game should confront the SEVERE RETRIBUTIVE DISPLEASURE AND HARSH CONDEMNATION of society -- no mollycoddling; no punches pulled! They ought to carry burning coals upon their heads for the rest of their lives. Maybe some variation on the scarlet letter principle would be the way to go.

I would be SO glad of that! The story is SO good that it almost sounds TOO good, ie; the stuff of urban legend. But having the well attested account would put such manner of misgivings to rest. I thank you for your good efforts....

The only way to cure false charges of any kind is to hold the accuser liable for the same punishment as the person accused. If in these cases People were incarcerated, then the exact same time should be immediately applied to the accuser, with the system paying reperations to the falsely accused, let's say $40,000 a year to start, going up from there in accordance to possible earnings, and $500,000 thrown in for the loss of a semblance of a normal life. If there was no incarceration the false accuser should face the same time that the victim was facing. I bet if they did this this crap would stop, because all they care about is money and control anyway.

I realize we could get bogged down in a depressing, realistic, review of the rape culture, but let's take a moment to appreciate this. Men are being freed who committed no crime, and false accuser awareness may be addressed in main stream media. This is a good thing.

Indeed. It's very encouraging that the largely androphobic (for commercial reasons, among others) mass media is finally paying a bit of attention to this phenomenon. Progress is progress.

I'm thankful for what the female technician referenced in the story has done. However, I'd be interested in a few more particulars about common practices. Were there also male technicians doing the same thing? Were there forensic departments with policies on issues such as this at the time?

Anymore, whenever I see a woman 'valorized' in the popular press, certain shields immediately go up. This isn't paranoia; the vast majority of 'journalists' are leftists, which argues for large quantities of female journalists with at minimum, feminist tendencies.
