News Anonymous User writes "A man who spent 26 years behind bars as Florida's "Bird Road Rapist" was released from prison Wednesday after DNA evidence cleared him in two of the attacks and cast doubt on whether he was responsible for any of the crimes. Story here."

The prosecutors office tried to block his appeals, testing of the evidence, discovery, and everything else that goes along with getting yourself freed when wrongfully convicted.

In St Louis the vindictive prosecutor makes a regular policy out of keeping these kinds of highly doubtful to be guilty from ever getting access to test the DNA, and even when the test come back there ususally isn't DNA on all of them -- so she wont ever let the person out or get a retrial on those. She kept one poor man in jail for 11 years when *all 3 of those he was accused of raping had proven to be impossible because of DNA* but she still fought all the way to the state supreme court to keep him from getting a retrial.

That is, unfortunately, how this system really is. They don't care about the truth, only numbers.

this is really something, he was about my age when he got sent to prison for things some other SOB did. and the SOB never was cought becouse they were no longer looking for him.

"In St Louis the vindictive prosecutor" ~~~ does this woman have a name? it needs to be confirmed as to all this and when it is, she should have her name name linked to the facts via every media.

i wish there was a cindicated men's radio station. i'd love to be a DJ... lol
