She said flexible and part-time working was available, but there was a strong perception that NHS managers did not consider part-time workers for career advancement in the same way as full-time staff.
I guess now what they want is for a person to put in 2 hours a week and still be considered for a upper management position! why the heck should i slave here 50-60 hrs a week, with no overtime, when someone can just work 2 hours a week and be considered for the position.
for some reason the stupidest things come out when trying to balance numbers. of course the reason is a 'good old boy network'. would someone tell me where one of these are, as i have never ever gotten any pluses, a lot of negatives, and sure wish to get a leg up (given the government only gives legs up to women. oh, but what large steps up they are too.)
