Mother Jones' Biased Article on Domestic Violence
posted by Matt on 01:44 PM July 1st, 2005
Domestic Violence Marc A. writes "Mother Jones Magazine just did a totally biased article on domestic violence. It ignored male victims altogether and talked about VAWA and the lack of services for "battered women" only. It didn't even give the token recognition that we're starting to see occasionally.

Years ago they did an article titled "Hitting the Wall" about how researchers are repeatedly finding that women initiate DV as often as men do. It looks like they "forgot" that article.

They didn't forget about male victims of DV. Like many other media outlets, they're dominated by feminazis who hate men and are shilling for reauthorization of the sexist VAWA.

Dear Editor:

Re: Will cops, Congress, and the Supreme Court leave women with NO SAFE HAVEN. A special report on Domestic Violence, Jennifer Conerman & Sara Catania, July/August edition.

Please find enclosed in the body of this email (below) my aritlce in opposition to the hatred and violent abuse of males carried out through the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA).

The DOJ reports that 36% or 835,000 of the 2.3 million victims of domestic violence are male victims. The Fourteenth Amendment trumps special interest gender politics. Under the constitutional law of this land, we are all equally human beings.

The Violence Against Women Act is not written in gender neutral language. It purposefully excludes male victims of domestic violence. The DOJ must be prohibited from denying funding to programs serving male victims, or we must stop all funding for the discriminatory VAWA. The present and proposed Violence Against Women Act makes 2nd class citizens out of all males. Good American’s have too long been harmed by the prejudice of this gender feminist spawned evil (VAWA).
What do you think the long term effect will be on an entire class of people (males) treated as 2nd class citizens by the VAWA?

What do you think will be the legacy of those who have supported the discriminatory law/legislation know as the Violence Against Women Act?

Hint: The evil that men (and women) do lives after them; - Shakespeare, Julius Caesar, Act III, Scene II. How will history and male victims of domestic violence remember Mother Jones?

Sincerely, Ray
