Sacks, Feminist DV Leader Spar in SF Chronicle
posted by Matt on 09:09 PM April 19th, 2005
Domestic Violence Esta Soler, founder and president of the Family Violence Prevention Fund, one of the world's leading domestic violence organizations, attacked Glenn Sacks' recent San Francisco Chronicle column Domestic violence a two-way street. Soler labelled Sacks' column a "shameful example of cherry-picking and distorting data to confuse readers" (scroll down to see her letter).

As Sacks noted in a recent broadcast of His Side, "Liberal newspapers are feminist turf and they don't like when it's invaded."

How typically feminist to project their own behaviour onto others.

Aside from the fact that truth and accuracy are irrelvant (and inconvenient) to them, I suspect that they can't even conceive of doing things truthfully so, when someone counters their inaccuracy, the only thing they can imagine is that the other person is also twisting the truth to their ends.

Soler a "NO SHOW" (Score:2)

I listened to the radio broadcast replay and whataya know, no Soler. I suspect she knew that her calumnious statements would not stand up under the light of face-to-face cross examination. Sorta like: it's easy to flip somebody off while whipping down the freeway. It's a different story if you are standing in front of them and they look like they could flatten you.
