Men save '50% more' than women
posted by Matt on 11:35 AM March 2nd, 2005
The So-called Wage Gap Linucs writes "From here: "More people are saving regularly, but women are managing to save less than men, according to a report published today." - Guess why? - "Women's salaries are, on average, lower than men's so you would expect a lower amount of savings, both in total and regular monthly amounts. But they also save a lower percentage of income."

Surprise..."

Funny, how it isn't mentioned that women might spend more than men. I know most of the women I've been with or knew, always spent a lot of money.

If they admit that, they have to acknowledge that women spend more than they earn from their jobs, and that that extra spending power appears out of nowhere, while men mysteriously have less spending power than they should, given what they earn.

i dont get the point of the article. savings are totally a persons choice based on what they think and what they make, and on and on...

so what if women save less

they dont need to have as much in reserve.. no engagement ring to buy, no first dates to pay for, etc.

and its their choice whether to buy the manolos or not to.

there was totally no point to the article.. men save more.. ok... women save less.. ok.. is it a crisis.. no... can we change the personal savings rates of individuals to make them equal... no...

no point

This is why the Metrosexual craze, and Gay Men are being promoted as part of this consumer culture. Gay Men spend more money. Furnishings, personal Care products, clothes, decor, flowers, cosmetics etc. They act like Women and spend like them. Meaning more dinero for the Manufacturers and Ad Agencies. I reject their BS and their culture. I am a tightwad according to Mrs. Krum. Except for hunting gear, fishing gear, Guns, Books, Software, and my computer items. I wear socks until there is no material left. I am not a slave to fashion. A Gay Man who I worked with once told me..."Krum you will never been in danger of being accused of being a Gay Man". I had no clue what he meant. He simply was saying I was not fashionable and could give a Rat's Ass about being so. On the other hand I am the Father of a Fire Fighter, Army Ranger, and a Marine.
