Sexual Harassment Lawsuit Over Gorilla
posted by Matt on 05:28 PM February 19th, 2005
News Ray writes "Here is a intriguing episode of "animal sexuality" that borders on the bizzare, Women Allege Monkey Business Caring for Gorilla . I know at times we primates have all been treated like a monkey's uncle, but can a gorilla really use sign language to say, "Koko's your daddy???" Keep abreast with all the news that's fit to report, and some that isn't, or you too could wind up on the short end of the long arm of sexual harassment law. Once again the poor, lonely male, who was already behind bars this time, was just hoping for a little bonding with the opposite sex, albeit cross speices. I suspect diversity training will take on an all new meaing for Zoo administrators across America after this episode, and Koko will need to be re-educated in the politically correct use of sign language."

Ed. note: Koko is in fact a female gorilla (see this page). The person being sued, Dr. Patterson, is also female.

This is what I get for assuming Koko was male, and the story did not specify Koko's sex. This gets kinkier by the moment. I'm just not up on this modern, female primate bonding stuff. I should have checked another article.

It appears Koko may swing both ways (pun intended), or just like females.

It is an interesting story because it learns that you can order your female employees to show their tits. The only thing you need is a monkey who understands sign language.

...it just keeps getting weirder and weirder.

I wonder if women can now sue a male dog for humping their leg, and stuff.

I have enough aggravation...,

I think I would like another translator. If the good doctor is the only one able to understand Koko, I would question which of the two is really interested in seeing the assistansts breasts: Koko or the doctor.
