"The number of female sex offenders is "significantly smaller" than male offenders, says Dale Bespalec, chief psychologist at the Milwaukee Secure Detention Facility and a former sex offender specialist for Wisconsin's Department of Corrections. He says the ratio of male-to-female offenders is about 500-to-1."

"Boys are also less likely to report abuse than girls, Bespalec says. That's often because boys in general are discouraged from complaining. And society is disinclined to believe that women are sexual abusers, he says."

Guess this psychologist does not listen to himself ? ? ?

Spotting anti-male idiocy isn't even a decent sport. It's way, way too easy. The real game is to figure out things to do to spur change.

"I think people can't quite fathom why somebody so attractive wouldn't go for somebody who has more status and power," says Miriam Ehrenberg, a psychology professor at John Jay College who has specialized in the psychology of women.

Maybe because feminism has taught women to relish dominating and humiliating men? Maybe because a lot of men have caught on to this game, so now women are turning to exploiting boys?

Yes.
That has been my contention, as well.
One thing that I have made a point in doing in my research on today's woman is to pay careful attention to what she "consumes". Things like TV talk shows, "chick flicks" romance novels, Women's magazines, and TV shows (like DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES) that are aimed at a female audience.
One of the themes that I find occuring again and again is women seduceing boys. Teen boys and younger. It is rampant in female literature and "entertainment". Another theme is humiliateing and dominateing males. this includes both adult males and younger. It is a STEADY DIET of this sort of thing consumed by Western women that is at least partialy to blame for this phenomenon.
It not only ENCOURAGES this behaviour in women it, in many cases tells women that they are IN THE RIGHT for such behaviour. In many cases the behaviour is excused away by blameing males.
I.E. "If men weren't such bastards she wouldn't HAVE to behave this way". Completely throwing responsibility-for-self out the proverbial window.
I could be wrong about much of this. But I don't think so.

T-Cloud, you probably already know about this, but there's an entire genre of women's romance novels built around the historical American West theme of white women desiring and being ravished by Native American men.

Cassie Edwards specializes in this pseudo-porn that always features a rugged Indian "brave" on the book's cover ... funny, he always looks more Italian than Native American, think Fabio with a good tan and a bow and knife and a feather in his hair.

Tag lines for these books are hilarious --

"A rugged warrior risks everything for the one women he shouldn't love..."

"Only love can tame his wild heart..."

"Two lonely hearts burn with desire on the Oregon Trail..."

I became aware of this pop-porn because in last week's junk mail I somehow (I think it's because I subscribe to N.O.W.'s press release service!)received a mailer from the Rhapsody Book Club!

Roy-
Oh YES! I am VERY aware of those "romance" novels you speak of.
In fact most of us (Indians) find them racist and insulting. There is a movement of ours that is small but gaining some momentum to get the covers and content toned down, the racist language removed and the "stigma" over "white" and Indian intermarriage to be taken out.
Most of us Indians don't know what the fuss is all about. Whites and Indians have been mixing now for over 500 years. It was even encouraged by the federal government at one point. Most of us The majority of Indians in America are of "mixed-blood" anyway, so The whole "forbbiden romance" angle is absured on it's face.

As far as the models used on the covers, other than their regalia being un-authentic or from the wrong tribe, we don't mind that quite so much. As I said most of us are mixed-blood anyway, so alot of us DO look like that. (Not me, though, I'm light-skinned, kinda ugly and kinda fat)

The weird thing is that un-like alot of "romance novels" I find that it is the (Indian) men in these stupid stories that does the "tying up" and "dominating" of the (white) women.
All I can say is that all and all I think women are just kind of weird, and everything, these days. And getting weirder every day. The stuff they read and watch just proves my point.
