If I didn't kill him, he would have killed me. That's how it usually ends for abused women

Great, now women think if they don't kill a man, he will kill them. Every argument is instantly escelated to a lethal battle. Remind me to find a hole and hide in it.

Whatever it was she used as an excuse, it didn't work.

The worm has turned.

Well, maybe not "turned" - "turning" in any case.

We must be careful not to tar all weomen with the same brush. There'll always be loonies who'll chop up anything and anyone for whatever reason. It's cold comfort to know that they may no longer get away with it.

How to tell the good ones from the bad ones seems to be the trouble.

Maybe it would be safer to assume they're all mad.

Ick... Personal bias creeping into my statements. Gotta watch that...

You are right. Women aren't insane. Some women are insane (something like 0 x 1).

Seems to me that the wife thought out the crime. She went to Home Depot to purchase a Hatchet. Worked diligently to clean up and cover up, and even shoplifted another hatchet to "return" so as to attempt to hide the murder weapon. ... doesn;t sound like self defense to me. And besides, the husband obviously cannot contradict her story that he was menacing her with a knife.
I say she got exactly what she deserves.

May God have mercy on her.

Lot more information here, and other story from the Freep that I read but didn't bookmark.

The real drama here was one poor kid was trying to lie for her to save his mom, the other basically told the truth and said she murdered him and wouldn't support her alibi or abuse-excuse...yadda yadda

I'm happy the jury saw through this line of crap.

Please note that this horrendous murder took place in one of the most misandrous states, Michigan.

She will in all probability get off on a technicality much like the murdering animal Andrea Yates is going to do. As you may know, Yates is getting another trial because of a slight technicality that would probably not have altered the outcome of her first trial.

So the radical feminists, who seem to be firmly in control of the Michigan state government, already has the "fix" in for this poor abused woman. Just like in the Andrea Yates case she will get a new trial on a minor technicality and get off with no more than time already served which will be about 2 years.

Women are a privileged aristocracy in this country and they are in effect above the law.

One would not expect a duke or earl in the 1300's to be tried for killing a mere serf now would you?
