I think you should all know about the letter I wrote to the editorial department of the Tampa Tribune, concerning St. George's concluding article (the series also appeared in the Tribune).
In my letter, I mainly pointed out more complete statistical results from the study by Cheng that St. George cites.
Please go to the Women's Rural Advocacy Programs web site and follow the links, to view an unbiased and more complete analysis of the study results, including quotes from the study's authors.

P.S. The Tribune did not print my letter, I think it was probably screened out because I (unknowingly) made the letter too lengthy.
