Woman accused of severing man's penis
posted by Adam on 11:01 AM November 7th, 2004
Domestic Violence AngryMan writes "When a woman cuts off her partner's penis, it is not domestic violence, it is a joke, or a noble revolutionary act. But if a man was to cut his partner's genitalia while she slept, it would be a hate crime, a gross act of misogyny. Story here"

This quote is NUTS.

The Harris County Sheriff's Department declined to release the couple's names Saturday because the woman has not been charged.

Now, a woman can charge ANY man with NO proof (like a severed PENIS!) with rape. But this man has a BIT more proof than a bruise, a laceration, or "he said/she said".

His PENIS is severed. He said she did it.

And she has NOT been charged .... WHY, exactly?

I think it said her sister and daughter identified her as having done it, too, from circumstantial evidence.

Can they charge her before they find her? She is on the run. At least they did not dismiss this as funny, or put it in the oddities section.

It is sad that the whole DV was brought up, as if any action, other than during a violent rape, would justify cutting off his penis.

Oh, Lorenna Bobbit didn't effect anyone, it was just funny *roll eyes*

What's also outrageous is that the woman's supposed reason for doing this is that he was unfaithful, yet the last paragraph indicates that she may be unfaithful to her own husband back in El Salvador!

Yeah, but it's "DIFFERENT" when a woman is unfaithful. (sarcasm)

Not that she MAY be unfaithful, but that she is unfaithful, to the husband in AS. AND possible to both.

Sick.

December 6th is comming round again (anniversary of Marc Lepin) and my feminist neighbours will want to know why I don't wear a violence against women ribbon. This year I'm going to tell then I'm firmly committed to violence equity.
