AngryMan writes "Russia has 2-years compulsory military service for all men (none for women!) However, the army is crippled by a culture of bullying which causes widespread misery, has led to suicides, and reduces combat effectiveness. I wonder if other armies are so different. This is another issue to consider when talking about the draft. Article here"

This is the product of a culture that views men as disposible sub-humans. And it's not just in Russia.

I heard in russia women live an average of 12 years longer than men. can anyone guess why? I will never understand why in russia and the US why young women cannot give two years of their lives as men are required to give. OK so do not put them in combat but make them do some damn thing for Christ's Sake.
I tell myself many times I am not going to come back to this site anymore as a lot of the things I read here upset me. I am also beginning to believe a lot of things I read here too, am I just a second class citizen because I am a man? I sure think russian men are. Male only selective service is not helping this image as one poster wrote.
