This is really pissing me off:
"The 38-year-old Henri of Torrington, was charged with second-degree assault, carrying a dangerous weapon and second-degree breach of peace.
Her son was charged with second-degree assault and other charges.
Both were released on ten thousand dollars bond and are scheduled to appear in Bantam Superior Court August 23rd. "
[emphasis mine]
ARE YOU F**KING KIDDING ME!??!?!
Let me preface this by saying I am NOT a lawyer.
Ok, but from what I understand if you (or I) were to take a LEAD PIPE and engage in a melee, strike someone in the head, then you get charged (at the ADA's discretion) with Attempted Murder
And notice her son, who from the news report was NOT weilding a deadly weapon, is up on the same charges. She used a deadly weapon, he got into a brawl.
If not attempted murder then how about "Assault with a Deadly Weapon" or SOMETHING reasonable?!
And the last thing: 10,000 dollars BOND!?!? Folks ... when you get $10K in a bond you usually have to pay 1/10 of it as a security.
So, for using a deadly weapon in a melee, because her son was asked to leave a party, she paid $1000 to stay out of jail, is charged like she got into a fist fight, and we can all guess how she will probably plea down and serve NO TIME.
Don't ya just wanna take a bullwhip to the ADA and extract a little flesh? (ok, a bit of hyperbole)

The ADA is probably still giggling about it! Female violence is regarded in this culture as being cute, funny, justified and female empowering. And of course we all get a charismatic uplifting feeling and a literally a surge of orgasmic excitement when we read or hear about female empowerment via violence.

Just imagine a female like this complaining about violence on the part of men...
