Men & Religion An interesting commentary indeed and one you are not likely to see in mainstream press. She must be getting inundated with hate-e-mails!

What's to know? women are worshiping themselves as godesses. What else is new?

Self-worship is exactly the point of so-called "women's spirituality". In fact in the Garden of Eden it was a woman who was deluded with the promise that she would be "as God". Unlike Adam, we need to tell them "HELL NO" and "GET LOST".

The authoress of this brief essay gets off some real zingers!

To wit --

Now "women’s ministries" is a mighty subculture, jaunty, self-perpetuating, and irresistibly marketable. It’s everywhere. I even saw an invitation to one of those cast-of-thousands women’s events at the local movie theater, among the ads before the feature began. All the women are grinning in an intense, zesty way...

The photographer must have been holding up a pie.

------

"Women’s spirituality" is as spurious a construct as "Hoosier spirituality."

------

In addition, there are a couple of cute sidebar quotes from female New Agers --

What Does Women's Spirituality Mean to You?

"Looking for the feminine in spirituality... opened mental doors for me..." --InannasMoon

"[It] mostly means the need for a spiritual connection with other women..." –-DreamingDragonfly

Wow! Ms. Moons and Ms. Dragonfly are pretty deep!

Thanks for posting this fun two-minute chuckle.

Had to wipe coffee off my monitor after I read that...

I liked how this author pointed out the usual marketing tricks used to appeal to the female mind while the real intent is to instill a "precious or cranky" socialization process into women's lives. Like women are more special compared to men.

...or went out on a date. It only takes ten minutes of talking to your typical women to realize they think they are special.
