Score "1" for equal justice under the law

News Ray writes "Say what you want about small town America. These two prosecutors exhibit a world more common sense and constitutional fairness than the whole feminist indoctrinated District Attornies offices of some bigger cities like Los Angeles or Boston. Stiff sentence imposed following probation violation "...a college-educated white female, should not be given a substantially lesser sentence than Flowers, a black male raised in a disadvantaged economic situation," Stouffer said at the time of the sentencing. "As prosecutors, Jay and I have lived by the premise that no one should be above the law and that who a defendant is should not determine criminal liability.'"

I wonder whether the judge who originally gave this woman only 120 days in prison was the same judge who revoked her probation and gave her the more appropriate 10 and 15 year concurrent sentences this time.

I think it was the same Judge, but I'm not 100% on that.

The middle aged old fart in a black sheet probably gave her a light sentence because she reminded him of his granddaughter. He also more than likely decided divorce cases in his illustrious judicial career and gave the females all and more of what they asked for.

The greatest sentencing discrepancy (and general treatment) in the US exists between black males and white females. But this instance is ridiculous: 14 years versus 4 months for partners in the same crime! Add to that the fact that the disadvantaged man probably couldn't do any better, but the college-educated woman had loads of other alternatives. Who then is the more culpable? Had the broad not been stupid enough to violate probation, this injustice would have probably stood.

The injustice has merely been equalized and increased. Nobody- male or female, black or white- ought to be put in prison for a victimless crime such as this. Justice my ass.

Now if we can just get the white AND black female conviction rate the same as the American-Indian male conviction rate...,

Where supposedly women are sentenced to much harsher and lengthy terms than men for committing the same crimes. The proof is in the pudding. Another BS article brought to you by the likes of ABC,NBC,CBS and a whole lot more.

The more time goes by the more I think our ancestors may have been on to something regarding voting and a whole lot of other issues.
