One good thing that comes out of all this is that the more they look they'll find and...the more they'll look. This kind of molestation has always gone on, especially among babysittters. Girls themselves used to joke about it in the 50s. Looking at young female sex abusers will lead to a closer look just as the Murray/Strauss report on DV lead to a closer look at female DVers. But unlike the myriad documentation of female domestic violence, these reports will not be ignored because the victims are children.
There was a suggestion by Thundercloud that this type of sex abuse is also on the rise. Given that misandry is on the rise, given that feminism has enboldened young girls to believe that they can get away with anything, and given that men's sexual privacy is belittled in locker rooms, public toilets, prisons, and many movies, this is a plausible conjecture. Things are getting worst and being reported more often.
The downside is that the study was done in New Zealand and probably won't impact the US very much.

I am not sure where to begin but this very thing happened to me in the 1950's. During all my years never did I read anything remotely related to girls molesting boys until now. All this time I though my incident was extroadinary or at best just a freak occurance. Furthermore I have never discussed it with anyone but did tell my parents just after the event was over. I remember my father called the police but nothing ever became of it.
A brief summary of the event follow. At about age 7 or 8 I had what I though were two female friends. These young ladies were 12 or 13 at the time and were indentical twins. The way I befriended them was through my above ground pool in our large back yard. They lived down the street and during the summer months always showed up along with several other kids in the neighborhood to swim in our pool and I have to say they were some great times. My mother was a non working mom and was always there to supervise things and always saw that everyone had a great time. My mother just adored the two twin girl friends of mine and always commented on how pretty they were. To me they were just two more kids to play with and girls had no special meaning to me at that age.
One day I wondered down the street to the girls house. Towards the back of their property sat a small guest cottage. I was fasiniated by this cottage and asked the older brother if I could go in. He opened up the place and he (his name was Fred) and and a male friend of his and myself entered. I remember looking around and nothing struck me as unusual about the insides of this place except it was sort of small and smelled a little musty as it was not used much. A few minutes after my self and the two older boys entered, my two female twin sister friends(their names were Dawn and Patrica) entered with two other females neither of which I knew. The four girls sat on a sofa in the tiny living room. Nothing unordinary so I continued to entertain my self by sitting on the floor. A few minutes had passed and Fred the older brother of the twin sisters asked me to do something which I though now was quite bizzare in my little mind. He asked me to remove my shirt and pants and then stand in front of the four girls who were still sitting on the sofa. He further told me that after I did that then to pull down my under shorts and they would not ever ask me to do anything like this again. Why would anyone want me to do such a thing is what was going through my mind. I just told him no I would not, jumped to my feet and bolted to the front door. He and his friend were a little faster and a lot bigger and had me back in front of the girls but pinned down on the floor. Now my two female friends were down on top of me and I am not sure who did what but my shirt was unbuttoned and my pants unzipped and pulled down to my knees. The other two girls came from the sofa and now all had a good look. It was very clear to me that the two older boys had no interest in looking at my private parts but were just following orders from the girls. Of course they never showed up at my pool again.To say it was shocking for me to experience this at my young age would be an understatement.

I second that, Peter.
I too suffered a similar trauma at the hands of a nieghborhood girl when I was a child. But I don't have your courage to go into detail about it. at least not right now.

When I was at school, at first I got picked on by the girls because I was shy, then (for two years, while age 12 to 14) two used to corner me while I was trying to read at lunch time, start rubbing themselves against me and putting their hands down my underpants. The room was full of their cronies at the time and they all had a good laugh. I was terrified, much to their delight.
This was a regular occurence for almost 2 years until the class was split up after exam results.
I've never told anyone, not even my parents, as I figured everyone else would laugh too.

Gentlemen;
Thank you for your supporting words. The hell of it was my father was very angry but my mother was not. My father died in 1964 and during all the subsuquent years my mother still talked favorably about the two twin sisters and I never reminded my mother of the incident at the cottage. Actually I was too embarrased to ever talk about it again. The point being I do not think most women would find this event such a terrible thing. After all I was just a little boy so some girls wanted to see me put on a little show for them. Don't they know what we look like anyhow? I have often wondered had I been cooperative at the time what else would they have asked me to do. How long would it have gone on? Yes they did have their way for sure but it took four of them to hold me in place.

Have just emailed a copy of this article to the NSPCC and advised them it was just one of three articles on female violence, which albeit happening is ignored by reponsible authorities !

I actually lived in New Zealand for several years, and spoke to someone who said that his first sexual encounter was with a babysitter when he was younger. I recall that he said that he didn't enjoy it, although he didn't indicate whether it was traumatic either. At any rate, it's no better than if an older boy has sex with a younger girl, as they may not necessarily report it as being traumatic either.

The response makes you wonder how many cases are out there. In the past no one paid too much attention. If someone actually did they probably find that young girls abuse young boys far more often. Boys are taught to respect girls, girls are left to do as they wish.
