Golly Gosh, we truly are unfair to women.
"The workplace needs to change to match the workforce," says Ellen Bravo, national director of 9to5, National Association of Working Women. Until that happens, a woman's labor will continue to be worth a fraction of a man's."
Problems would arise, methinks, if turning up at the local ER, at 6pm or later, bleeding to death, only to discover the Nurses & Doctors only worked 9 to 5 so that women employees were not disadvantaged !
The same would be true if one's power went down, the sewer was backed up and overflowing, an evenings enternainment was desired, or the TV company could not broadcast outside the hours of 9 to 5. But then I guess society would simply have to learn to tolerate such a New Order to satisfy the needs of women ?
