I just read the first chapter, I highly recommend it. When we think of shame, we usually think of it as a tactic that females have always employed against males (to cover their own fears). But shame is more pervasive than that, and recognizing it promotes heaing.

One of the books that is not included in the Protestant Canon of scripture is "The Ecclesiasticus (Proverbs) of Jehoshua ben Sirach". One of these proverbs is "The Lord loveth humility...but SHAME leadeth to a multitude of sin". I remember an alcohol rehab expert who was a former Catholic priest named Bradshaw used to quote that often and said that when someone is "shame blinded" so flashed with assertions of "shame on you"that they loose sight of reality, their behaviour becomes shameless.
One of the things I say to feminazi gauleiters who try to assert control of me with generic "shame on you wicked patriarch"crap is "name me the names of my victims or F*CK OFF". Men who cannot be manipulated with guilt and shame scare the crap out of them.
