UK Police Data on DV - Women Abuse Too
posted by Adam on 02:31 PM March 16th, 2004
Domestic Violence Rob writes "An excellent illustration of DV stats by the London Metropolitan Police which debunks the myth of "male=offender, female=victim". The BBC article shows that in 25% of all cases investigated, the woman was the abuser. Unfortunately, there is the usual mitigating statement about some women's violence: "[some women's]..violence appeared to be defensive and in retaliation to the threat of or actual violence from the male partner."

Since every rational person could argue that "some" men would also have been "abusers" by this definition, and that these two groups of abusers should cancel each other out, then the fact remains that the police force in the UK's biggest city has found that 1 in 4 DV perpetrators it arrests/investigates are female!"

I think you will start to see an increase in these sorts of articles in the coming years. With prisons for women being built they no doubt will be looking to fill them.

Let's fight the criminal (in)-justice system as well and bring it back to principle as well as fairness. They are the creeps who lied in the first place. (OR at least helped in that lie.)

Sorry I haven't been around, no server at the moment. I miss this board and I miss you guys. I hope everyone is doing well in fact super!

I will be back soon!!! Keep smilin, keep livin and keep laughin. Don't give into hate, stay focused and keep to the principle of the matter. Peace.

I have friends and colleagues who work in domestic violence counseling here in my home state of Illinois.

They tell me that arrest and prosecution rates for women are increasing.

The state of Illinois recently recognized the fact that women batter men by developing a state "protocol" and guidelines for treatment programs for women perpetrators of DV.

Of course, the women's protocol contains several provisions that afford a woman arrested for battery to receive "special" advocacy and legal services as well as a required screening to ensure that she is not a "victim."

No such special provisions are offered to men, who are, naturally, assumed upon arrest to be guilty of domestic violence.

There is also a bias to provide female batterers with customized, individual counseling, as opposed to the cattle-call group "shame and blame" feminist re-education that men are subjected to...

Nevertheless, the fact that female domestic violence has been begrudgingly recognized means that the (nasty) jeannie is now out of the bottle, and it will be difficult to return to the days of complete feminist concealment of the facts about violent women.

Did you ever notice how all of those domestic violence advocates help "alleged female victims" (who are often batterers), to tell their stories, and the wording of all those stories is written in the vernacular of the gender feminist movement complete with unique catch phrases?

Reading those stories is almost like reading the scripts for a series of episodes of some maudlin soap opera.

Well lets see now.....this is March 2004. My false arrest was in December 2001. That means that in December 2004 that I can have my false arrest record sealed and legally deny ever being arrested. Seven long months remain till this hell is over.

You can bet that I'll have the police records searched to determine if when they make a call that my name does NOT show up in the list of house calls. If it does then I have every intention of suing the Ontario, CA police for negligence in maintenance of their database.

After that I'm a FREE MAN that the bigoted feminized police who have no balls will not be able to easily charge me because I'll know their systems and lies.

I really like that you are so informed on the false accusations and such on DV

I think its starting to change, but it'll only get really changed when women end up in the same "make money, sign the confession, "victim empathy", accused=guilty" classes YOU had to attend.

Until then, the "individual" counseling and the "help" from DV "advocates" (gee, aren't they supposed to help the VICTIM!?) will try like hell to keep up the lies. Their livlihood and their SCAM depend on it.
