A tale of Valentine's cartoons
posted by Adam on 09:57 AM February 12th, 2004
Inequality mens_issues writes "Compare the two Valentine’s cartoons on the same internet page (courtesy Daryl Cagle of MSN). The “Valentine’s cards” by Ann Telnaes feature four abused/oppressed women. The cartoon at the bottom, by Mark Streeter, shows a man giving his partner an inappropriate Valentine card and gift. At the bottom, the man has been beaten up and wrapped in duct tape, while saying he’s lucky she didn’t have the keys to the Mercedes. This telling juxtaposition can be found : here"

...The whole women-beating-up and tying-up-men theme is a growing phenomenon. Alot of women LOVE this scenereo of 'sexualized violence against men'. And our children are gonna be exposed to more and more of it. especialy boys.
Be ready, folks I'm telling you this is just the begining. It IS going to get ALOT worse...

Abused woman: Reason for outrage.
Abused man: Funny; a joke.

I used to think it was just radical feminists who viewed men with contempt. I used to think that most women were, for the most part, good and fair. I realize more and more everyday that women in general have these same views of men as radical feminists. I little more covert and controlled, perhaps, but every bit as cruel and blind.
