News Indystar.com writes...

"Prosecutor Carl Brizzi says the public would be better served if officials stopped the emergency releases and opted to pay fines of $40 a day for each inmate over the limit. He opposes any plan to release accused domestic batterers. "By keeping these people in jail, I'm doing my part to protect the women and children of this community," Brizzi said.

I guess that he doesn't know that most child abuse is done by women. So...who is protecting the children in abusive situations?

And this Brizzi nimrod is evidently oblivous to the statistics that show women are just as likely to be abusers of men as men are of women. So....who is protecting the men who are in abusive situations?

Brizzi is a bastard!

Putting men in jail before conviction IS the punishment for alleged DV. I know, I was denied bail on basic "she said he did" charges.

Stripped, deloused, thrown in a county jail with only one phone call for over a week, forced to share a cell with a convict.

Once the facts came out, I was free. But I had already done the time...

DV advocacy in courts is anti-due process.

The DV advcoates SHARE the public offices with the DA's!

Anon - Are you in the States? If so, what state?

Stories like yours need to be heard by men and women who have absolutely no idea that this sort of thing is going on. If you are ever moved to write it down you can anonymously put it on the web here.

You can see some of the other men's experiences here.
