there is to click on the Warren For Gov link, which up until today I never have. Count your click thru's on that link, and that is most likely your answer. We know he's running, but I doubt many folks followed the link, but almost everyone here reads the stories.
Why not put your challenges up with where the regular stories are as more people would be more likely to see and read them?
Just a suggestion.

I had invited Warren Farrell to a Men's Issues Online chat on Thursday August 28, which was my project for last week. I sent a notice of the chat to MANN, MND, and a few of the largest Yahoo Groups out there. I posted a notice of the chat on the homepate of Men's Issues Online. I even tested the chat room beforehand, as well as a notice in the Yahoo groups as Warren entered the chat room.
In spite of this, there were only five people at the chat, including me and Warren. I don't even think my notice was printed on MANN or MND.
The chat went OK, but I was disappointed in the low turnout.

I'm sorry to hear about your low turnout Steve. I would have been there myself but for a friend who had previously purchased a ticket to the Vikings football game that night for me. As for why the anouncement wasn't posted on MANN, I can't speak for the others but I wasn't aware that you'd wanted it to be. Normally, stuff that people want us to post comes in through the submit story form which delivers it to a queue. The stuff we get through the admin emails goes elsewhere and include a lot of stuff that isn't meant to be posted.

Oh. And I submitted the announcement to the admin queue.

I appreciate the suggestion SacredNaCl. The reason Scott and I decided not to post them with the regular stories was that we thought that might be too much Farrell stuff on the front page. Granted we both feel his campaign is important, but we didn't want it to take over the news network.
I'm not sure how many click-thrus there's been, (I'd have to ask Scott on that one), but I have posted several articles about it in the news section over the last two weeks so I doubt if this campaign is a surprise to most of the readers.
This article is in the main news section however, and its here where I'm asking if I post daily activist challenges, who's willing to commit to doing them. If not very many are then I'll try and find some other way to foster activist activity.

Hombre,
Unfortunately, I was unable to participate in the challenge due to severe time constraints between academics, research, and work. I do not consider our cause to be a mere hobby - I consider it something much more serious than that - but nevertheless am forced to juggle my limited amount of activism with my many other projects. For instance, I just recently sent a request to NCFM national that they include me in their letter writing committee, which I hope will allow me to be involved as often as my schedule permits, but will not necessarily impede on my other obligations. I can only speak for myself, but please don't take my lack of participation in this particular challenge as a sign of complacence or disinterest with men's rights. When I read that you had started doing these challenges I thought, "this is great - someone is really taking the initiative to lead others toward becoming actively involved." I think it is a great idea, and I applaud your efforts. I hope to be involved as often as time permits, but I cannot promise how often that will be. At any rate, even when I cannot be personally involved, I wanted to let you know that I support your efforts.
BTW, is Scott still involved with mensactivism.org? Last I heard he was not going to be an active part of the admin anymore...

Does Dr. Farrell have a snail mail address to receive monetary donations to his gubernatorial campaign?

Hi Hobbes,
Thanks for the words of encouragement. I appreciate your enthusiasm and know that it is shared by a lot of people in the movement. I still have the goal of trying to get others more actively involved and have some ideas for different ways to try and do that but first I think I need to figure out what isn't working now. I've decided to keep updating the daily challenges even though I haven't gotten anyone to commit to doing them primarily to show continued support to Farrell and those working on his campaign.
As to your question about Scott, he is focusing his efforts on the NH Men's Commission right now, and for the time being limiting his activities with MANN. Although not directly being involved with the administration, he is assisting in other ways such as being an advisor to the admins. I discussed the grassroots center idea with him and he helped me put it up.

We've been extremely caught up on the campaign in L.A. Sorry, I otherwise would take part. We just did another rally today, with Warren there, and it got on Fox 11 News and they also interviewed Warren. I just watched the CNN coverage of last week's rally and it is great, almost two minutes of the rally and of Warren and about men's and father's rights. I was impressed. They showed Ray's signs about fathers' rights, paternity fraud, and more. The organizers in L.A. are talking about more rallies than I can handle, and it's constant work. I am totally exhausted. I appreciate MANN helping out as they have been even if no submissions came. The pulicizing and moral support for Warren is great. The issues are really starting to get out here. I hope it continues. Thank you MANN.

Marc and I have been working on Dr. Farrell's campaign daily.
It's early A.M. in L.A. and I'm off to my regular job with nine, "Warren Farrell for Governor" bumper stickers on the back and left side, rear of my regular car. It's not as impressive as the truck, but it too is getting a lot of notice on the 30 mile roundtrip, daily commute, especially when I hit traffic (which is daily).

mine included. I rarely click on the activism stuff, even then, it's unlikely I would actually do the challenges. Possibly more if I was in California. But only possibly. sorry to disappoint.
