Simply stated, an abomination, and one of the reasons that I personally believe that "The System" is broken beyond the point of redemption.
I do not say this lightly, and I will say it in full so that there is no misunderstanding: Our justice system is a sham and a very unfunny joke, and I have less than zero confidence in it; I say less than zero because I believe (And I cite these "Officers of the Court" as evidence) that the system no longer even believes in itself. Prosecutors are no longer prosecuting people because they feel they are guilty, or because this will truly get a monster off the streets, but because it clears a case, and puts a tally in the win column. Worse yet, I believe many prosecutions are often tools to get rid of inconvenient people.
Citing hair matches as evidence that someone is guilty of a crime, and then denying more detailed tests that PROVE that there is no match is sheer gamesmanship, nothing less. It's a mockery of every intent, and shows that these rat bastards have no interest in finding the truly guilty (and let's just be charatible and assume a real crime took place - the "11 year old" who admits to having consensual sex, and then conincidentally was raped smells of Tawana Brawley far too much) but are content to let someone who was guilty of a heinous crime, and will probably do it again, walk the streets to preserve a precious check mark in their win box.
Unspeakable. Utterly un-fucking-speakable. I hope there is a place in hell specially reserved and stoked for these fucks, and pray Jesus God that they are issued their one-way tickets there with alacrity and due haste. Would that I owned a newspaper, and I would list their deaths not under obituaries, but under "Public Improvements." There is no epithet vile enough to even come close to describing these wretches, and they are by far worse filth and human debris than those they purport to prosecute - and that a judge - NO JUDGE ANYWHERE - hasn't censured them for their rank hypocrisy, let alone moved to have them disbarred, shows how the inmates are running the asylum, and that the "System" is hopelessly rotted and corrupt from within, down to the very foundations.

But Jennifer Joyce *(Circuit Attorney St Louis) fought for YEARS to keep Lonnie Erby from even being able to get permission to run DNA test on the evidence! Would be nice to get rid of this one.

Who's Tawana Brawley?
She was the one, many moons ago, who ran crying covered in dog crap that she had been "raped" by "White cops" and turned into Al Sharpton's cause de jour. It came out later that she had stayed out all night (Against her father's orders) and had sex (which she was afraid of him finding out) and made the whole thing up.
To wit: Wha No, Daaaaaddy! I warn't havin' no sex ... um .. I ...I... Was RAPED! Yeah! That's the ticket!"
