A Change In Media Trend???

The Media I posted this because it might make men feel there is some good out there. The author of this article is making an argument that the latest Terminator movie is "Anti-Feminist". I seen the movie and I thought the exact same things and a few more. Careful not to confuse anti-feminist with anti-women, because the movie is not anti-woman in any regards. To make it simple the robots represent the "system" and its almost as if the system is "feminist". Maybe Cameron's divorce gave him a view at the biased nature of our environment? Read Here.

Interesting points about Terminator 3. I also liked the father-friendly portrayal of the lead female character's dad. Yeah, I know it was corny. But at least she respected and loved her dad and he was trying to look after his daughter and help the good guys.

This reminds me of the Freddy Vs Jason movie.

**Spoiler alert if you havent seen this yet**

Years earlier, the lead male character had witnessed the father of the lead female character murder his wife and the father denied the crime. I was thinking, "Oh goody. Another male character portrayed as a domestic murderer *roll eyes*..." Then, when the lead female character was having a flashback, she realized that it was Freddy that had murdered her mother, not her father and the father *was* innocent! ;)

We are having an effect guys. Luke 18:3-5, If rock can be worn down by water, then so too can the forces that have instituted and supported all of these terrible feminasty laws. Persistence does pay off, especially when fairness and equal justice for all are on your side.

Lets just be careful we are not squeaking what they are manipulating us to squeak. The media can have a way of dealing us false images.

I agree that it's good to show man as not wimpy, and women as the villains on occasion. I have more incentive to see this now, because it has become less stupid sounding.

However, I don't necessarily agree with the view that women and men only want to see rugged male superheroes. Somebody made the Tomb Raider game popular, and it wasn't feminists trying to promote a girl positive image - I believe it was male gamers, for the most part.
The part that bothers me is not that there are impossibly proportioned women out there kickboxing, it's the idea that they are fighting all men. They never fight women, and men can never fight them - because hitting a woman is still wrong, but hitting a man is "strong" "fiesty" etc. etc. you've heard the spiel.
I'm just gonna prefer playing video games where your attacks don't soften based on the gender of the character's ass you're kicking.

The reason Tomb Raider has a girl in it is because of copyright infringement. The original was basically an Indianna Jones look a like.

The changed it to a girl and by golly it took off. I believe it was a coincidence with the girl power issue in schools. The boys playing didn't seem to care and thought it was 'different'. The girls became interested more so.

As far as the standing that more women and men want to see male action heros? Its difficult to tell. I know from my mothers generation of women that its more about eye candy than anything else.

The girl in jeopardy scenario is age old. My belief is that it comes from christian myth and saving the girl from the dragon.

The dragon is a complex enigma. It represents evil, hatred, deception etc...etc.... A good movie for it is 'Legend'.

As the late singer from INXS sang, "Every single one of us the devil inside".

The thing is that over time they forgot why the theme was inspired and popular.

In James Bond movies, my favorite in particular 'For Your Eyes Only', the women hold an extremely fundemental role in the films. Bond couldn't have done it without their help.

This is the type of world I would like to live and love in. Not this marxist bullshit of hating everyone.

An interesting history lesson about Tomb Raider, however I disagree with you about the game's popularity with boys.

Of course, if the game had been crap then nobody would have played it, so it must have been a good game. I don't know first-hand: I'm going by the reports of a friend who was a Tomb Raider junkie.

However, the addition of Lara Croft made the game even more popular for two simple reasons, and they were on her chest. An adolescent boy would rather play a game while watching some hot babe on his screen than watching Mr. Muscle. My friend claimed that one of his favourite settings on the later versions was being able to play with a naked Lara Croft. I don't know if he was pulling my leg, but it fits the demographic.

There are nude patches made for some games. But the game developers don't do it (they don't want to be controversial or have a high ESRB rating on the game), fans of the games do it.

There are games out there that contain extreme nudity and sex, but they usually don't seem to do very well. Maybe it's because they are usually produced by smaller game developers who may not focus on gameplay.
