Another celebrity ruined then cleared

News Rob writes "I wearily report another story of a Celebrity being accused of sexual assault only for all the charges to be dropped today. The prosecution have "come into possession of further material that has led to the charges against the defendant being reviewed". The reasons for the charges being dropped are not being revealed as it would be "unfair to the complainant". She is of course anonymous. He has of course lost his high-profile TV presenting job and been a social leper for almost a year. You can comment on the story here."

False Accusations - "The Life of David Gale" (Score:0)

I just watched The Life of David Gale and it cleary shows what a false accusation can do to a career. The story (movie) ulitmately goes on to make other points about the death penalty, but to me this was encouraging to see this truth being boldly told in such a high profile movie.

It could have been better done, but the fact that it was done at all gets the word out as to what is happening to a lot of decent men in this country.

It has been reported in the UK here that his legal team are now considering suing anybody and everybody who had a hand in naming him and then contributing to his reputation being ruined.

I would concentrate on the females who made the accusations in the first place.

When Mike Tyson was convisted of rape a number of years ago, a number of the other beauty pageant contestants also alleged they were raped at more or less the same time. As this was clearly impossible (and he was not pursued over these claims), these women had obvious other motives.

Any feminist who genuinely believes that celeb cases like this do not bring other leeches out of the woodwork who only sniff money is seriously deluded.

YES!!! By all means, sue the cretin who made this accusation.

And another thing. Why are sexual assault accusations pursued years after the fact? Is the thought of a man's dong inside a woman so repugnant and upseting to this society's collective libido that a petty accusation from a unbalanced female is enough grounds to legally hound a man to the ends of the earth? What a load of crap!

This was an outrageous case. The media had a field day, reputations were shattered.

An innocent man neartly lost all. He should sue. A pity the rewards are not as good in the UK as the US and it can be costly.

Some good can come of this. The feminized BBC were struggling to report this as they could not claim any women victims. Maybe they will be shaken up a bit.

Also it has made the Home Secretary think. The criminal justice act going before parliament is grossly Anti-Male which is based on Women Victims, Women being angels and not lying. So there is ample ammunition now to dispel these myths.
