"Judging Amy" supports paternity fraud

News amperro writes "July 8 CBS ran an episode of "Judging Amy" about a woman suing her husband for more child support, and then reveals that he isn't the real father! Then Judge Amy Gray threatens to put HIM (not her!) in jail! Frankly, if we are to win the war on paternity fraud, we need to call for the prosecution and imprisonment of the mothers, rather than just relief from child support orders."

or did someone get sick in the furnace vent?

Her character is the spawn of Norman Bates and
SeaBiscuit.

Let's not be too harsh though. They had to put
peanut butter on her lips, like Mr. Ed, so she can
talk.

She should practice math for her next
job, so she'll understand "three burgers, fries
and a drink".

I didn't see the show, (I never watch it), but I wouldn't consider having this situation on the show entirely bad.

The more people who are aware of this injustice against men, the better off we are, in my opinion. If Judge Amy supports this view, more than likely it's totally because the laws in her jurisdiction are written that way.

Our challenge, is to get our feelings and solutions to the problem known and getting the laws changed so Amy can support our side in a future episode.

I think that the fact that we are seeing more and more of our problems aired on TV shows is great! The tragedy will be if we don't use all this publicity to our advantage.

I did not see the program, but I agree with Dittohd. If Amy had released the man from child support obligations viewers of the program might assume that justice is always done. The program will alert more people to paternity fraud issues. By the way, 60 Minutes recently aired a program about boys falling behind girls in school and now paternity fraud was the subject on Judging Amy! Is the men's movement gaining a friend in CBS?
