The more donors there are, the more chances that Richard can find a match and continue his work with and for abused men.
How You Can Help:
If you have a website, go to
here
and get the graphic and link for your site. Encourage your visitors to consider participating in the program by becoming part of the National Donor registry in their local area.
If you have a mailing list, or belong to any, tell them about the program and the Richard Hayden Marrow Donor Drive. Volunteer to participate yourself. The link at my site has information that can answer most of your questions, including a list of locations for testing, etc. across the US.
If there are a significant number of potential donors whose only barrier to volunteering is the cost of the test, I'll work with the foundation to establish funding, which is possible. Like so many other things the men's movement has attempted, this may be the first, or close to first, time this kind of thing has been attempted exclusively online. There are bound to be kinks to be ironed out, and unanswered questions, so if you've got questions, e-mail me at:
dsrtlite@mindspring.com And I'll try to come up with an answer.
Meanwhile let me know if your group or website is participating by posting the graphic and the URL for the National Marrow Donor Program, and I'll include you in the list of participants in the upcoming press releases to the general media and the main page of the DLJ.
