The attempt to shame men into marriage, which is now (when combined with fatherhood) slavery for men, won't work.
A radical change in male-female relations was unavoidable, given the new human/woman control over reproduction. Feminists poisoned that transformation of relations with hatred. But men and good women are seeing through the lies.
Unfortunately, feminists will engage in a scorched earth policy as they are forced into retreat.

Some women like Susan here, and some pussywhiped men too, just don't seem to catch on to what is happening. There is a viable MEN'S RIGHTS MOVEMENT going on! And one of the best ways for a "real man" to show his independence is to forego the marriage racket. Gee, I just wonder why men are no longer so eager to jump into the marriage game...let me count the ways. Here are just two egregious examples of why marriage sucks for men. Of course all on this site can come up with more examples I am sure.
Since 1973 with Roe vs. Wade women and women only have had the option or choice to decline parenthood after conception. Men of course are still stuck in the old 1950's responsibility for the bastard mode even to the point of actually becoming a convicted felon if he doesn't pay his exorbitant child support. And of course a lot of this child support is actually mommy support to keep her in beer and cigarette money. Being a financial slave just doesn't have appeal for most normal men for some reason.
Also, there is a new wrinkle the femi-twits have put into the equation and that is pushing convictions for marital rape. Rape laws are designed to oppress all men not to prevent crime or punish crime. And I think men are beginning to realize it. The recent misandric ruling by the California Supreme Court illustrates this where a man if he wants to have sex will have to have a stop watch handy to avoid at least a 1000 years in the bad part of a state prison if he goes beyond a certain time frame measured in milliseconds without pulling it out after she says stop.
Of course I am preaching to the choir about all this government supported misandry that has destroyed marriage and male and female relations in Western culture. But hardcore femi-twit assholes like Susan Reimer still don't seem to get it!

Of course, it's impossible that the narcissism of the average American woman has anything to do with the fact that the average american male wants nothing to do with her.
Susan, like many Phemtwits, have this amazing capacity to see the obvious, and to ignore it completely. In one paragraph she points out - quite rightly - that "Marriage is the glue that holds fathers to their children. Without it, they drift away." Bravo! But she refuses to make that final step, to unshutter her eyes from her ideology. Susan, here it is: "Women - at least women passively aiding and abetting pheminists - have destroyed marriage.
No fault divorce. Presumptive maternal custody of chilren. Statistically zero enforcement of visitation, and that only done on the Father's dime. Oppressive child support, or rather, back-door alimony masquerading as child support. Arrests and prosecution for DV on no evidence but a complaint.
What's the factor? Susan, the new generation of twenty and thirty something men have grown up watching their fathers get SCREWED. And they want no part of it. They saw their fathers have no time for children, working two jobs to support two families. They saw their fathers dragged into court over and over for revenge, plain and simple. They've watch their fathers weep, die early, and die by their own hand.
And you have the nerve to wonder, Susan, why young men are saying, "No thanks. Pass. Not me?" Your hubris boggles the mind.
Perhaps, Susan, if women grew up and stopped thinking of a family as their birthright, but as something they have to earn. Maybe if women stopped viewing everything as what "we need"...
Pretty telling, that. "We need you in the family." We being women and children. That's the family to them. Men are useful appliances you screw on the bed every now and then to generate a paycheck and do the icky and hard work. Not really a part of the family.
There is the attitude that needs to be dropped. So long, Susan, as men are outsiders and intruders in the family, they will walk away from it. Name me any man - shit, ANY PERSON - who wants to be a stranger in their own house.
Maybe if women grew up and stopped treating men like occasionaly useful aliens, men might return. Maybe if women grew up and placed a value on men for themselves rather than what they could provide, men might return. Maybe if women conceeded some rights to men, they might not be skittish. Maybe if women stopped believing and acting like the sun rose and set in their twats, men might view them differently.
Until then, well, most men only are interested in one thing from a woman because that's all the very vast and overwhelming majority of them have to offer. Let's face it, aside from a 24-inch waist and a styled head of hair, there isn't much to recommend the 20-something female.
Have a nice day, Susan. And next time you dare to criticize, check in your mirror first. You might find your problem where you least expected it.

All the things that brought marriage into being have been destroyed.
Men were not obligated to do anything for women in the past. Hence marriage. Marriage is a negotiated agreement between a woman and a man. For the majority, this worked out quite well. For these communists, not so good.
Sole custody equals sole responsibility. I think conservative men and lefty's should consider this. Child support as a law should be abolished completely. This will bring the 'family' back together.
Any feminist that promotes 'marriage' is probably advertising for the divorce industry.

Well, yeah, you hit the nail on the head. That's what a great many of these women want, namely, "Sleep with me, get me pregnant, father *MY* child, then be a man and send me a check every week, but butt out otherwise."

Some people's bigotry is so obvious that it seems that they are the only ones in the world unable to see it. Men are not human beings, they are a natural resouce - a "raw (marriage) material" - to be exploited just like fossil fuels, water, and metal ore, for the "best interests of the children."
Just like the entire world had such difficulty believing when the German culture went entirely insance back in the 1930s and 1940s, it took me years to fully grok the fact that so many women today have the same level of contempt for the entire male sex that the Germans had for the Jews or that white people had for black people several hundred years ago that led to the belief that they could rightfully "own" them.
In nature, stupidity is a capital crime. The perpetrator is executed immediately, the sentence is carried out with absolute impartiality, and there is NO "appeal". What we have happening today is the result of natural forces which have been at work for nearly 4 decades which is resulting in the death of a culture gone terminally stupid.
When marriage did still work for the majority of people, it was because both sexes were trained from the cradle onward in the values and beliefs which made it work; and every institution in the culture supported it, rewarded it, and severely punished deviation from it. That has been turned on its head and the situation completely inverted: people are now punished for it, every cultural instituion except the organized church has been out to destroy it and everything which supports it (and even many churches have given up trying to preserve it), and people are now rewarded for AVOIDING it rather than engaging in it.
Well, as Gomer Pile would say: "Surprise, surprise, surprise."
Anyone who has even the slightest exposure to systems theory knows that you cannot change one part of a system without affecting the entire system. The feminidiots have taken the engine of culture which ran acceptably and tried to fuel it with toxic waste, taken off the fuel pump, the water pump, the radiator, the generator, and finally the carburetor (men), and now that the engine is FINALLY stalling, want the carbs to bolt themselves back on and for the engine to run like it used to.

As someone else observed in this thread, the young men of today who have grown up being beaten to death with the messages of how useless and expendable they are, and who have watched their fathers hounded like common criminals for the crime of "fatherhood", have done what the feminidiots have shown themselves incapable of doing: learning from their own observation and drawing conclusions about the world which defy their indoctrination. When someone commits armed robbery, if "he" is caught, "he" is put in jail to discourage "him" from doing it again. So, now that the culture has decided to start imprisoning men for the constructed crime of marrying a woman and failing to be able to fill up the bottomless pit of need that women have become and "make" her happy, some of these guys are making the same decision regarding marriage that they make regarding armed robbery: not a good idea.
And, it's going to get worse, guys, MUCH worse. These 20&30-somethings aren't going to improve the kind of "material" that they are over the next few years and suddenly become much better "raw marriage material" when they become 40&50-somethings. In fact, as their drive to reproduce wanes, they are going to have progressively less use for women and far less motivation to put up with their shit. Think about the boys over the past couple of decades who have been punished for their maleness and medicated into zombiehood. Think that these guys are going to be dying to get married and step up to the old traditional male "responsibilities"? Think again, shyster. (oops, I meant "sister")

It is so obvious that only a feminidiot could fail to see it: same-sex marriage. If 20- and 30-year-old FEmales are such "great" "raw marriage material", then let them marry each other. I know of lots of men in that age group who have pooled their resources and are buying houses cooperatively with other men. They are forming contracts which, unlike "marriage" today, still ARE legally binding and have penalties built in for those who capriciously break them.
If they ever legalize same-sex marriage in my state, I will immediately marry my nephew (a single CP dad) and adopt my great-niece so my estage can be dedicated to their support without having to pay the government tariff of "probate". It will do nothing except work to my advantage.
I've been hearing for years how women want nothing more than for men to be more like women, and how much they prefer gay men (ie. men they DON'T have sex with) as companions over straight men. I say, let's cut out the middle-man and all the hassle and cut straight to the chase - if you want to marry a woman, just save everyone a lot of grief and marry one WITHOUT a penis!!! About the only way that men are ever going to kill the pervasive myth of "male (domestic) violence" is to let women start getting the shit beat out of them by other women. Let them start attacking each other by surprise, and when they are asleep and totally defenseless, and cutting their clits off. When WOMEN start being the ones victimized by women, then MAYBE this culture will finally wake up and begin to take notice and stop living the lie it has been living these past 40 years. (still, I would probably lay my bets the other way)
In the meantime, I think far more of myself than to allow myself to be reduced to nothing more than a bolt of burlap and items 38 & and 39 on some woman's "to-do" list:
