Great work, guys!

"We're not saying there shouldn't be services for men,' Hope said. "If there is a missing link in our community that is needed to support men who are abused, we support that.'

Is Hope or anyone in her organization on record opposing or supporting (yeah, right!) the creation of a County Office of Men's Health? It might make interesting reading for that reporter (or, perhaps the judge).

Their contention seems to be that they're not hostile at all to abused men or the idea of more men's shelters.

Didn't the woman from Valley Oasis (the one shelter that aids men in that county) say that she's gotten a great deal of harassment from the operators of the other shelters because she helps "the enemy"? I hope she testifies in that room.

Who wants to bet that if a publicly funded shelter were established for battered men, that those same women run the women's shelters would be demanding that the men's shelter open its doors to both genders?

Attorneys for the shelters argue that a related law makes exceptions for programs that benefit the disabled, aged, minorities and women...

Notice that the law doesn't include exceptions for programs that benefit men. If I were a betting person, I'd wager good money that the women's advocates would argue that a men's shelter is unconstitutional on the grounds that it discriminates against women.

This is great!

It's wonderful to see a lawsuit such as this and the predictable reactions of the fems. The very least it does is to force them to take a stand and show their misandry for all to see. Thank you so much Marc and whoever is putting the effort into this. It's great to see them in a defensive posture. We need lots more of that. They have so much to be defensive about.
